Review summary

We are spoiled by Celebrity staff and ships! Lisbon and Barcelona are two excellent places to spend a few extra days. Valencia was a disappointment, nothing remotely close to the pier, a huge sprawling city, with shopping, cultural, atmosphere so spread out: highly recommend looking for an excursion here that meets your interests. We enjoy the indoor pool and hot tubs.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lisbon port staff was not well prepared for the number of wheelchair users, but once inside Celebrity staff was staffed and made everything ok. Onboard everything was open and ready.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Luminae restaurant provided excellent and friendly service. Menu from classic Main Dining was available as alternative if any of the specialty menu was not interesting. The buffet had excellent choices and we’re well presented. Mast Grill hamburgers buns and fries were the one disappointment. Bar staff at Passport we’re the friendliest, the Martini/Ice bartenders less so, seemed to favor those who gave extra cask tips.. but good drinks throughout. The drink package was included in our deal, so it was nice not to think about prices. But never would buy the package at the going rate, we’d never come close to making it worth the cost.

Onboard Activities

Lots of fun to be found hourly, if interested.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Only the Martini bartenders disappointed. Everyone else was super. Our Butler, Jesus, was absolutely amazing: caring, thoughtful, attentive and respectful to our preferences.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Design, flow, atmosphere, temperature, is excellent.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Storage was way beyond our requirements. Loved the jacuzzi bathtub and multiple shower heads. Beds comfortable. Ask about pillow menu if desired. Very few TV channels might be off putting for some but we never turned it on after sailing day.

Ship tip

We thought the Sky Suite was worth the extra cost, but we’d also consider going Aqua class again. If you dislike a lot of walking, keep in mind that there is only center and forward elevators- so aft cabins could require lots of walking.

Disembarkation

Celebrity staff made it smooth. No immigration here which was a surprise and speeded us through. It’s s short walk compared to many other debarkation ports we’ve experienced elsewhere.

This was our 4th Celebrity cruise of 19 total cruises ( my spouse has been 2 others not listed in my profile) The Solstice & Silhouette are similar to the Reflection. The Summit was very nice too, but slightly older/ different.
