Review summary

Our overall experience was excellent and so much so that we books 2 more cruises on board. I would definitely recommend this itinerary to anyone and we may book it again in the future.

Embarkation

Getting on the ship was super easy, took only about 30-45 mins to go through security and check-in. The welcoming champagne was just the right touch to remind you to relax and fully go into vacation mode.

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the food offerings were above average. The main dining menu didn't offer enough variety night to night and we found ourselves checking the menu before dinner and usually ended up in the Oceanview Cafe on nights we did not have specialty dining planned. We pre-booked Murano and Qsine, but after the first night in the main dining room we started exploring other specialty options. We tried the Porch and while we were there we were offered a deal for a special dining event at the lawn Club Grill that included at least 5 courses (lost count) which included grilled lobster, steak, and unlimited wine/champagne. After just having the seafood tower at the porch we we were sold and cancelled our reservation Qsine. It was probably our favorite dining experience after Murano.

Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria

4 out of 5

We mainly came her for the Gellato and it was the best I have ever had. It was smooth and flavorful. Get the sandwich if they have fresh cookies.

Murano Restaurant

5 out of 5

Very intimate ambiance, perfect for a special night out. We were seated next by the wall shared by the ensemble lounge so we could hear the music coming through but we liked the music they were performing. But if you want a super quiet experience schedule your ding time around live performances. I reccomend the Murano Lobster and the crepes for desert.

Opus (Main) Dining Room

3 out of 5

Limited menu and nightly variety. The dishes seemed like variations of the previous night or just not inspiring. Not sure if this is by design to get you to pay for specialty dining or just a weak point in the overall dining portfolio.

Bistro on Five

4 out of 5

This was Sushi on 5 on our ship, but the service and food were excellent!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There was always something fun to do on the ship but we were usually too tired from our days in port. We did participate in bingo on a few sea days or just relaxed in the solarium. The casino is non smoking which was good and bad. Good because we are not smokers, bad because it would usually be the thing to get us out of there its too late.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Overall the entertainment was ok, the DJ and live musicians were good. The stage shows need some work from the production aspect.

Reflection Theater

3 out of 5

The theater itself is nice and comfortable. Try to sit between or in front of the support beams as they may block your view of the stage. We saw Elysium and it seemed like there were 2 lead singers at times. It can be done but the singers need to complement each other but this was not the case. One had a very strong and powerful voice while the other had a softer more accurate voice. I also put some blame on the sound engineer as he could have balanced their mix better. It seemed as though they were having a sing-off at times. We also went to see a solo singing act but he was too focused on the audience versus singing the great lineup of songs he had. We made it through most of it but left toward the end as it became annoying.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The inside cabins have the same inside space as standard balcony cabins. We had plenty of room for all of our luggage. There was plenty of closet space and hangers as well as drawer space. The bathroom is well laid out and the shower was just the right size and we like the solid doors as opposed to curtains like on some other cruise lines. The TV was great and the music channels had great playlists with few repeats.
