Review summary

The ports and ship were exactly what we had hoped for. I traveled with my sister, we are both in our early 20's, and we had a great time and saw a bunch of the ancient cities. The food was great and the entertainment was sufficient.  Only stipulation about the entertainment was the dancers were a little too full of themselves and wanted to be the center of attention at all events, ie at the dances and parties where all the other guests were dancing as well. We did 3 tours with the ship and a couple on our own.  Two of the tour guides were above and beyond fantastic, but unfortunately one was sub par, although there isn't really any way to pick your own tour guide.  The staff was very helpful, but celebrity pushed paying for upgrades throughout the trip. They always wanted you to sign up for the VIP experience of special entrances to their events for a 'nominal fee'. Longer cruises seem to be a better option because they have time to learn the personality of the guests and they plan the subsequent events to the atmosphere of the ship.  Overall a cruise was a wonderful way to see the Mediterranean because we traveled while we slept thereby not wasting days and time traveling on trains and hauling our luggage around.

Naples does not offer a whole lot and is not the best city, but Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius are 20 minutes away and must see's.
