Review summary

We were a little nervous going on a ship that held 3,000 passengers, thinking that the service and food would not be great.  Nothing was further from the truth.  Our room was big, especially the bathroom.  The food was excellent.  The crew were so friendly, always said hello when you passed them.  The entertainment was pretty good.  The ports of call were great, our highlight was Ephesus which is a must-see.  My only complaint is that there was so much nickel and diming on the cruise.  You had to buy bottled water for 5 Euros when you could get it onshore for 1 Euro.  The premier restaurants charged extra, it was worth it.  But the lunch places, gourmet coffee bar, and gelatto stand charging extra too???  I also felt that the 18% gratuity on drink orders was a bit steep.  Then there's the complaint on every cruise about the exorbitant prices for the internet, no exception on this one. The food in the buffet was more than adequate and delicious.  Lots of seating in the buffet dining room which was nice.  The coffee was delicious in the buffet, too.  This was my first Celebrity cruise and I will definitely book again.

Cabin / Stateroom

Larger than average bathroom. Veranda smaller than other sky suites because it's on the corner of the back of the ship. But we enjoyed being so far away from the noise in the front of the ship.

Ship tip

Happy Hour at the Passport Bar every day. Never saw this advertised.

Nothing special unless you book an excursion to Capri or the coast.

Only had one experience on the Reflection (so far-will go again !), but it was outstanding. I highly recommend this ship. The non-alcoholic beverage package is definitely worth it. It includes... fruit juice , soda, virgin daiquiri. virgin margaritas, etc, as well as smoothies and bottled water (even one liters to take with you).   Splurge on Cagneys Steakhouse if you like steak!

Rest assured - I  will go on a Celebrity cruise again.

Was there a special theme night while on the cruise?  I thought I read somewhere that there is a 70's/disco night???  Thanks!
