A wonderful, relaxing cruise. Almost normal. The crew still need to lose their masks, and the ports of call excursions are still limited. But almost normal.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Quick and painless. I do however wonder if we will ever return to “normal” after this scheduled arrival window business.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
MDR food of good variety and quality, artfully presented. The Oceanview food similarly so. The only detractor was the Mexican section in the Oceanview which was, in a word, pathetic. That problem is Celebrity fleet wide, however, not just the Millennium.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
All right, I suppose. We didn’t participate in many.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The production shows were some of the best I’ve seen on Celebrity. Usually, they try to be too woke and artsy, but this trip I recognized almost all the music. The live music around the ship was also quite good. The DJ had a rough start but then recognized the age of his primary audience and got better.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship is 20 years old and one can see that in the design features, but it is still in decent nick.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Smaller than later classes (Solstice, Edge) for the same category, but still adequate. There was enough storage space.
