Awesome cruise. This was our third cruise to Alaska and it was great. The ship is in excellent condition, the entertainment was wonderful, and the staff took great care of us.

Review summary

This cruise was a fantastic return to cruising. We enjoyed every minute.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The trip through the terminal to the ship was very long, and we were asked for the same documents over and over again. Seems like this could be stream-lined. Having said that the staff were efficient at each stop and kept us moving to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were Aqua class and ate as many meals as we could at Blu, The food was exceptional and the staff knowledgeable and attentive. We ate in the main dining room several times for lunch and had excellent food and service.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did not use any of the onboard activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to all the shows and most of the Beyond the Podium presentations. Brent Nixon and Mary Amanda are outstanding presenters. We went to their presentations even though we have been to them on a previous cruise because they are that good. The shows were beyond words, and the musicians are world class.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the service and staff were excellent. Gede, our stateroom attendant, kept our cabin perfect at all times. Rolando, Jennifer, and Asai took outstanding care of us at Blu.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is in excellent condition and laid out well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin is slightly larger than standard balcony cabin. The balcony has a large overhang above which is good in rainy weather, but does block the view of the sky.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We walked this port since we had been here twice before. The town was very empty because we were the only cruise ship in port. We did some shopping and took pictures of seals at Creak St.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
Cruising this area is always picturesque.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau is a scenic town and a great place to shop.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
This was our first time to Icy Strait Point. Walking along the shore we saw whales just off shore. Our time was limited because we had to leave early due to an approaching storm. We enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to going back in the future.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and efficient.
