Review summary

My wife and I are avid cruisers. Only have two listed here because we are new to online site like this. With that being said food was good, ports were fun, but this is very different from a Caribbean cruise. The crew was great. When the announcement about Super Typhoon Hagibis and diversion to Nagasaki, Celebrity customer service showed. Ship WiFi was opened to all for travel changes could be made. Phone calls were free for Passengers again to get travel home rescheduled. The Captain did a great job keeping the ship in protected bays to minimize time in rough water. Celebrity made sure we got back to Yokohama safely and it showed. We will cruise Celebrity again. The ship is smaller and older but the refit really makes the boat look first class.

We liked our obstructed view. There was a pole way off to our right. Really wasn't in the view.

Ship tip

Don't waste your time in the shops sales. Very cheap made items are for sale. No name brands.

Ports of call

Fukuoka, Japan

Did our own trip with the shinkansen to kokura. The port was easy to get transit to Hakata Station to pick up the Shinkansen.

Shimizu, Japan

Ship excursion to mt. Fuji. The was a long day and lots of hiking. Great views and very nice national Park

Osaka, Japan

We wondered on our own and the local transit will get you where you need to go. Tip buy a suica/icoca/passmo card you won't need to buy tickets for each train.

Aomori, Japan

3 out of 5
Nice town but customs and immigration took two hours. Lost part of our day due to that.

Busan (Pusan), South Korea

UN Cemetery worth a visit
