Did the whale watching and Mendalhall glacier excursion. It was beautiful. Saw orcas and humpbacks. The time at Mendenhall was too short- only 45min. Would have been nice to have a bit more time.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

There isn't much to do in Hoonah if you don't book an excursion. There are some walking paths along the beach that are nice. Don't bother going into town- there really isn't a town to go into.

Great layout for walking/shopping.

Pros: Great layout, quiet.

Cons: Some lack of communication with debarking. At meal times, if you said no to bar staff when they asked if you wanted a beverage, they never came back the rest of the meal/cruise to the table.
