First and last time on this line. Tacked on charges out of nowhere. People were pissed off standing on line waiting for guest services to help them. Everyone was getting frustrated with the lack of help and the lack of communication! Things I was told on the phone and online before going were untrue. Had to pay for a ticket to an excursion that I paid for only my daughter to go on - guy at excursion desk says, Who did you talk to? Like, kid - seriously? I worked my ass off for this trip - put every effort to make it special for my time with my daughter and he says, well, I can give you a small discount. I paid near $300 for her excursion and I had to pay to go on it with her after your phone reps had told me I could ride the boat and just observe. Guess who had to pay near $200 just to sit on a boat? ME!
I got mad and told him - you people need to communicate! This is bullshit that you are adding to charges left and right!

Not friendly at all. This should have been a premonition.

Food and Dining

The food was not what we expected. Sloppy and recycled - and just plain slop. The sushi restaurant was a waste of money. I regret going there. It was awful and the service was bad. The main dining hall was fine but regardless of having booked dining times weeks in advance, we were made to wait for over 30 minutes and handed pagers to let us know when to come back. I told them I am diabetic and I take medicine by a certain time - sorry, you'll have to wait. It was one thing after another that aggravated me. Not to mention the amount of pushiness by the wine lady - omg, back off. We don't want to get drunk. On the last night, the servers kept pushing and pushing for praise. I finally left my daughter at the table, went to guest services and got cash and tipped them. We were so uncomfortable! Other cruise lines never point out what "class" you are in - this line, repeatedly pointed out everyone's and ours, class and packages - and they are not nice. No one smiles. I really never want to go on this ship or this line ever again. My daughter cried on the ship and told me, mom you worked so hard - 2 jobs - to do this for us and this is the garbage they gave you? You got taken advantage of! I hate this ship and they way they are treating us! I could only say to her, it's ok. What can you do?
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
None. There was nothing to do that interested anyone under 60 years old. There was nothing.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Old shows. Old DJ's. Nothing you would pay so much money to be stuck watching.
Children's Programs
People who had kids - why would you take them on this ship? One the activities was making paper airplanes.
Service and Staff

I caught the steward fluffing my daughter's bra and just watched him play with it with the door open. The next day, her pajamas were displayed on her bed - we folded them and put them in her luggage before we left! He didn't touch my stuff - he kept touching and playing with her stuff. On the 3rd day, he hid her pajamas in the sheets. My daughter is almost 20 - she didn't want to wear her pajamas or touch her clothes after those incidents - she was thoroughly freaked out! There was no need to be touching a young lady's underwear - and then going into her luggage to play with her pajamas! Literally want to throw up at how violated we felt. Don't get me started on the long wait times in the pay to eat restaurants! Sushi on 5 - I made reservations, came 15 minutes early - only 3 tables had people. We were the 4th. It was 7pm. Please tell me why it took 45 minutes for 2 sushi rolls and 2 soups - that were lukewarm. I told the host and he apologized and then took 20% off the bill. Seriously. Everyone got a small coupon upon entering the ship for 30% off and he made me feel like he did me a favor. Stepping onto the boat and being harassed to sign up for reservations to eat - like go away, can we at least board?

We were lied to by the folks at Celebrity - I called several times to inquire about the design and layout. It was very small and the decor was the old brown and red. The rep on the phone said it was white, blue and marble. We would leave the room in the morning, to come back to having random items place in our room - a table would show up out of nowhere, a lamp - out of nowhere. We would flag down anyone in the hall we could find and have them remove it. There is barely room to walk and you keep putting garbage in the room. But creepy steward and touching and fondling her underwear and setting up her bra and patting the cups - I cannot remove the image from my mind! Imagine if her father was with her! Being mortified is one thing, but my husband would have knocked his ass out for touching and playing with his daughter's underwear! LIKE EVERY DAMN NIGHT! I am yelling because it was damn VIOLATING!!!!!!!
Also forgot to mention that my husband had a life threatening event on the EDGE and the entire crew was incredible. From the medical center to the cabin stewards that went above and beyond while my husband was so very sick. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. đź’™
Such a shame, although it doesn’t look like you have had any other cruises, we have used celebrity before and have never had a problem, in fact would use them again without a second thought.... most reviews for Infinity and celebrity are excellent, maybe cruising isn’t for you...
Sailed on the Infinity for 16 days cruising through the Panama Canal, it was incredible. We have also sailed on at least 4 other cruise lines and have over 28 cruises under our belts. Celebrity is top notch and every cruise we have done with them has been fantastic (Alaska, Mediterranean, Panama Canal, and more Caribbean than you can count). This review just blows my mind, maybe cruising just isn’t for you??
Sounds like cruising isn’t for you and you did not understand all of the details. The “charges out of nowhere” we’re probably the daily gratuities that are mentioned in all documents when booking. It is probably best for everyone if you don’t cruise again.
