We are both Global Entry carriers and we did not bring our cards with because during enrollment you are told that the trusted travelers card isn't necessary. Two different agents told us that we absolutely needed our cards but the couple in front of us were able to just state that they were Global Entry members. We went to CBP directly to bypass the line and we were told that we didn't need to carry our card with us. There was a lack of consistency during this process and we were glad that we eventually got to use our GE status to bypass the customs line.
