It’s a fun getaway. This ship has a spa. If you dream of lounging, getting massages, and pampering yourself, this is the one. If you’re fine with relaxing by the pool or lounging leisurely on an upper deck, they have that too. Take a dance class, play some poker, play bingo, do whatever. It’s fun.

Food and Dining

We didn’t eat in the main dining room because they are crowded with communal tables. We prefer an experience where we have a table for two. The buffet was good. Always something good there. Sushi on Five was excellent. We celebrated our anniversary at Tuscan Grille and it was the best! The food was wonderful and they brought us a celebratory cake to the table. Unfortunately, we were too full to enjoy it, so they had it delivered to our cabin later. Qsine was fun! We were lucky enough to snag a table on a night when they were offering a discount. Don’t know that I would have wanted to pay the full cover charge, but definitely worth the discounted price.

Fun! Think Disney meets fine dining) The animated chef prepares your meal right on your plate. If the dishes on the main menu don’t suit your tastes, they offer alternatives (it’s just that the animation won’t fit with the course you actually receive). I probably would have only given in 4 stars, but our server was so charming. She made the experience.
Onboard Activities

We wanted to go to their version of the Newlywed Game, but it was late on the night of our shore excursion day. They really should have scheduled it for a Sea day. Other than that, they had trivia challenges, volleyball in the pool, and a paper airplane challenge. The staff were witty and fun. It made for a lot of comraderie. Luigi is a hoot!
Entertainment

The musical review was amazing! We’d seen shows on other lines and nothing compares to the quality here. I do theater costuming and I was very impressed. The acrobatics were awesome!

Go here and grab a drink as the ship departs. It’s a great place to sail away from. The band was awesome and the views are beautiful.
Service and Staff

We told Deni, our room steward, that I had a CPAP and an extension cord and distilled water were in the room when we returned after lunch. Every server in the restaurants spoiled us. We had a drinks package and my wineglass was never empty. The young lady in Qsine was so charming! The staff in the shops were so friendly and charming, too.
We didn’t do an excursion here. Just embarked and debarked. It’s crowded and took almost an hour from the time we got in our car and got out of the parking garage. Make sure you use the bathroom and grab a drink because it’s a long process. Also, when you park, note the level you’re parked on. Or, if you’re smart, you’ll mark the location of your car on your GPS app. Several of us came off the ship disoriented because we came back to a different dock.
We booked an excursion where we snorkeled in sight of the ship. Don’t forget a towel and a comb! There’s s place to change, but don’t bring any valuables unless you have someone to watch them. You’ll be leaving your bag at the beach while snorkeling. They’ll take underwater pictures of you. Then we visited an authentic Mexican restaurant and drove around the island. We drove a little dune buggy. It was a blast! There’s also plenty of shopping, but the vendors aren’t quite as pushy as the ones in Nassau.
Do not get off the boat as soon as it docks to your Key West. Many things won’t be open. Being November, we should’ve taken a jacket as it was windy and cool. Take the trolley and try to get Kevin as your driver. He’s knowledgeable and witty. Honestly, if you aren’t much of a drinker, Key West might be a let down. Parts of it are a bit like the French Quarter. But there’s always the Little White House, Hemingway House, and Butterfly Consevatory. If you want to get a picture of yourself at the 0 Mike Marker, get there early or be prepared to stand in line.
It’s done like boarding an airplane by seat rows. Each cabin is given luggage tags with numbers on them. After breakfast, you wait in the lounge until your number is called. We put our checked luggage out the night before and kept our carryons with us. Some people insisted on keeping their big luggage with them and struggled with them through breakfast. Don’t bother. Our luggage was waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship and we were ready to go through customs and immigration.
