Review summary

Celebrity crew and staff was very friendly. We had a wonderful time for our first cruise. The excursions were very good. We truly enjoyed Hoonah and the fishing the most, but had so much fun in all the ports.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Everything went very smooth. Much easier than expected!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was mediocre. I guess we had much higher expectations after hearing others brag about the huge amounts of Alaskan seafood on their cruises. It was usually only warm buffet and very crowded.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Enjoyed all the musical shows. It was a fun evening out with great music.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was very personable and friendly. Room steward, Bailey, was super friendly. Bar staff were funny and engaging.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was very clean. We walked all parts and it was a great layout.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was perfect for us. We had a view just above the water. The room was quiet. We didn't spend much time there other than sleeping but it was very nice.

Ship tip

Bring rain gear. You can have a terrific time in the rain if you're dressed for it. Try new things.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
We left from Vancouver and spent 2 days prior to the cruise at a hotel. The city is beautiful but hope the next visit they get Lyft or Uber. Taxis are expensive! Don't miss Stanley Park. We did the horse ride around the perimeter. Nice and relaxing.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
We went stream salmon fishing in Hoonah. It was AMAZING! What a fantastic time. I recommend it to everyone!!!

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
The Discovery dog sled camp in Juneau was so much fun! Great excursion and we learned a lot.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
In Ketchikan we checked out the totems and toured the rain forest with Wild Wolf Tours. It was a great tour despite all the rain. Luckily, we dressed for the wet and had fun. Tracy was an amazing guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Not quite as smooth as embarkation but not bad at all. We were off the ship much sooner than expected.
