Review summary

I didn't think I would enjoy the cruise as much as I did. It is definitely a great way for large families to travel together because of the wide range of foods and activities aboard the ship. We would definitely recommend it to others and will likely plan another.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our embarkation experience was completely easy even though it was our first cruise and we didn't really know what to expect! My Mother uses a wheelchair when having to stand or walk for long periods of time and the Celebrity staff made sure we got through the lines as smoothly as possible so that she wouldn't be fatigued before even getting on to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship's food service standards far exceeded our expectations, particularly in the Terrace dining room. Our servers Artika, Imam and somallier Ida were exceptional people thaT took the time to get to know us and attended to every need and more. By the end of our cruise these three felt like friends and we were sorry to say goodbye to such wonderful people.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We took part in many activities on the ship including trivia, dance lessons, kitchen tours, sports challenges, evening shows and afternoon lectures. We enjoyed the variety of things to choose from. My only disappointment was that I had to be supervising my kids at the pool. My kids are young teenagers but very good swimmers. It like have been nice if there was a lifeguard on duty for even a few hours each day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the entertainment! Sometimes I found that the shows were over mic'd and the singers sounded too processed. The band was often too loud which probably made the sound tech turn the mice louder and create that "boomy" sound.

Children's Programs

My child did not attend the program although I was impressed with the variety of activities and times available should she wish to take part.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding in every way! Everyone that interacted with our family strived to give us polite and immediate attention and care.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was maintained very well and we were pleased with the service. My mother found it difficult to negotiate the bed under the bunk bed though and hit her head a few times on our trip. It would've been nice to know the dimensions of the bed and bunk beforehand and we might have chosen a different room for her.

Ship tip

Bring wallis talkies to keep track of your family.

Yes we did a Sitka tour and our guide was exceptional!

Juneau, Alaska

Very touristy but the whale watching tour was a definite highlight of our trip!

Ketchikan, Alaska

Also very touristy but charming in its own way. It was easy to get around with my Mom in the wheelchair.

Disembarkation

Quick and easy!
