Compared to other ships I've been on, Infinity seemed new, modern and well maintained. The programming on the ship was 1st rate; the comedians, the shows, the entertainers, etc. were all outstanding. The excursions made the trip most memorable. The whale watching in Juneau was a big highlight. The wildlife excursions in Ketchikan and Sitka were very good too. The big, unexpected surprise for us was Hubbard Glacier. To say I had very low expectations for looking at ice would be an understatement. However, watching blocks of ice, the size of large buildings, fall into the water every few minutes was INCREDIBLE! Then, looking over the side of the ship and seeing seals climbing on and off the floating ice near the glaciers was amazing. Celebrity had a PhD from Yale who also happened to have worked for National Geographic speaking over the ship's public address system while the ship rotated 360 degrees in front of Hubbard Glacier. It really added perspective to what we were seeing. The food on board the Infinity was a big highlight. Service was OUTSTANDING. Every encounter with the ship's crew was positive from the waiters, to the guys who cleaned our stateroom, to the men operating the tender boats. I'm telling everyone at work this is a trip they must take.

Pros: The beauty of Alaska is overwhelming.

Cons: That it ended! No, there was 1 rough day on the open sea, but not a big deal.

Ketchikan, Alaska
Found the George Inlet Cannery tour coupled with the wildlife tour to be very interesting. The tour guide on the bus from Ketchikan out to George Inlet was too inexperienced to be very effective. Nice girl, but...
Don't Miss: Wildlife tour.
Juneau, Alaska
The whale watching was one of the biggest highlights of the trip. The humpback whales are awesome creatures and to be that close to them was amazing.
Don't Miss: Whale watching.
Sitka, Alaska
The Indian tour was good, but I left feeling more sorry for them than I did entertained by their dance performance.
Don't Miss: The raptor encounter was excellent.

Enjoyed the raptor experience. The Indian cultural experience was a bit weak, more like a children's play than a cultural experience. Historical tour was ok, but guide was more knowledgeable about modern day Sitka than its history.
Don't Miss: I heard good things about the otter tour.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Went on the Wildlife Tour (saw Saxman Village-totem poles) and the George Inlet Cannery, which was a very interesting trip. Tour guide on the bus out to George Inlet was a bit inexperienced, but the other tour guides at George Inlet and on the Wildlife Tour were very knowledgeable.

The whales were awesome! It was one of the best memories from the trip.
Don't Miss: The whales. Mendenhall Glacier was great too. A piece of ice from the glacier made it to land in front of us.
