Review summary

We enjoyed our first cruise with the Galaxy and if we have the opportunity to cruise again in the future we will choose Celebrity Cruises again.

Food and Dining

The food was excellent. The variety was hugh and sometimes it was difficult to decide what we wanted to eat . The evening dining time was great because you had a chose of early dining (6:15 pm) or late dining (8:30pm).

Entertainment

The evening shows were excellent. The Celebrity Singers and Dancers performed 4 shows and each one was very entertaining. The special guest entertainers brought onboard were very good.

Service and Staff

All the Ship Staff were very friendly and very willing to assist you in any way. We exspecially enjoyed the service of our waiter and assistant waiter each evening.

Ship Quality

The size of the ship was just right. Not too big or too small. The layout was good except I would have preferred not having to walk through the casino to get to other areas on the same floor. The ship was well kept, and attractive.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an inside stateroom and the size was very comfortable. The decor was nice. We had all the amenities we needed and never had to ask for anything.

Ports of call

Naples, Italy

We did not really see Naples because we took a tour of Pompaii. It was very interesting and an awesome place to see.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

We took the Florence/Pisa tour and enjoyed seeing all the history. The guided tour in Florence was very informative. In Pisa we were on our own for 1 hour. It was great seeing the leaning tour.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini was very much like Mykonos and except for all the climbing due to it being on a hillside we enjoyed our visit there.

Cannes France was a waste of time for us. It is a large city. We perferred to visit a place called EZE but they did not have a tour going to it. You had to get there on your own.

Mykonos was a very unique place. We have never seen a place like it before visiting there.

Pros: We liked most being treated like Royalty

Cons: The exposure to alcoholic beverages and gambling
