We were on this same ship in 2011 for 11 nights out of Rome through the Med.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Confusing. It was just different than expected.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Don't pay extra for Aqua Class just to be able to eat in Blu. (Not unless you like duck breast or lamb hock.) We usually looked at the menu and then ate in the main dining room. After a few days, we learned that the main dining menu is optionally available in Blu.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
All those activities were available.
Entertainment
Did not attend.
Children's Programs
No kids.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Usually good. This was cruise #18 for us and we have had some really excellent service to compare against.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The Equinox has two banks of elevators. Each bank had 8 elevators. This sounds like a lot, and it used to be, but nowadays a lot of people use electric scooters and similar. One of those takes up the same space as 4 - 5 people standing. Expect delays!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Adequate storage and plenty of hangers. TV did not have CNN.
Ship tip
Allow time for elevators. Try the specialty restaurants. Relax and enjoy. Our cruise came with basic internet and classic drink package. We upgraded both to premium packages.
