Review summary

We cannot wait to cruise again! Booked the Edge next November to the Panama Canal!

Embarkation

Very organized and set up so if you are a little early you queue by appointment time. If you arrive after your appointment time you effectively go to the front of the line. Easy and fast - took about ten minutes total once it was our turn!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Even better than I remember! We LOVE the Tuscan Grill - seated by the window watching the sunset on the wake of the ship. Food was spectacular- especially the pasta dishes! And steak:) the regular dining room had better options and more space between tables than Blu- which we preferred. We even ate a couple of dinners at Oceanview- take your food outside to the deck by the bar and you basically have personal service for wine and drinks. We ate most breakfasts on our balcony. They do a much better job than most hotels of getting food to you that is still hot! Oceanview cafe was not crowded and the staff serves everything - which makes it more efficient I think! Try the Caesar salad station for a fresh delicious choice.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We were on this cruise to rest and rejuvenate so didn’t do a lot of activities. Eddie the cruise director is great as is his staff. Did some trivia and a little shopping. The one evening show we went to was excellent - but most nights we’d grab a cocktail and head back to our balcony. The October weather was perfect for maximizing balcony enjoyment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Hands down Celebrity has the best staff of any line we have cruised. The people are the secret sauce - so friendly, happy to be back on board, and thoughtful about anticipating any need of the cruisers! We fell in love with the Ensemble on 5 bar staff - Say hi to Chairil, Komang, and Kay for Mr. John and Ms. Lynne! They are the best! We tipped more on this ship than previously in recognition of our appreciation for their sacrifice of family time to serve us. And we went out of our way to notify supervisors of exceptional service. Having traveled and stayed at hotels during the pandemic - where you just get fresh towels when you need them but no housekeeping for multiple night stays - it is luxurious to have multiple time a day service by the attendants

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean everywhere. Many times when I used the public restrooms my stall had just been serviced (folded toilet paper roll). Incredible!

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the location on the 11th deck. Fast access to fitness center, spa, library, pools, etc

Ship tip

There is a two seat reading area by the entrance to the sky lounge on 14 - with a window looking out on the sea- that became our quiet spot to read and rest. Super quiet unless a trivia was being held in the sky lounge.

Go see the flamingoes! We used the tour through Celebrity and loved our guide and this excursion!

Disembarkation

Walked off with our luggage - facial recognition customs is a breeze. We went from ship to airport and through TSA in about 30 minutes.
