I had high expectations for this cruise due to the line being rated number1. Was somewhat disappointed as the finer appointments weren't there on this ship. The food was less than impressive. Did not receive the $50 on board credit. Haven't gotten reimbursement for unused money at the casino. Had meds stolen from our cabin. Just a lot of nagging little things to make this not that enjoyable.
Embarkation

Literally no line. We got there an hour and one half prior to our scheduled time and there was no line to get on.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Only did "complimentary" dining and no beverage pkg as my wife and I don't drink. Food was very average. Lots of spicy (Indian spices) type food. I don't mind the spicy food, but our traveling friends don't like spicy food. They tended to take down the breakfast foods 1/2 hour prior to the posted time. 11 am was the posted end time for breakfast and 1030 half or more of the food was gone. You could get pizza and pasta almost any time. Didn't go cruising for pizza and pasta or burgers, hot dogs and fries for that matter. Not enough "complimentary" dining opportunities. They really pushed for you to buy specialty dining with staff approaching you at almost every meal. Wait staff in the main dining were excellent, but food was average. If you don't buy a beverage package you have water, coffee, tea and some juice from a juice reconstitution machine. Not much for a proclaimed luxury cruise. At one breakfast, there was something dripping from the ceiling that dripped into my cereal bowl. They didn't rope off the area, after informed about the leak, until it could be addressed or fixed.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Really liked the real grass upper deck of the ship. You could roll out a towel and watch a movie on the big outdoor tv screen. One issue. They scheduled some kind of maintenance on the smoke stack area (pounding and grinding of metal) right above the lawn and tv area when the movie was playing making it difficult to hear the movie. Bad planning.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows and acts were very good. We really enjoyed them and the fact that they had 3 different shows for a 7 night cruise in addition to a comedian and a Journey tribute band. Activities staff were very good and the ships capt. was very funny.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Dennis and NiKadek in the main dining room were great. The room steward had to be prodded to vacuum the room and clean the toilet. We don't leave the room messy, so it appeared he only did a cursory cleaning job. Someone took medication from my wife's pill bottle which was full and never taken from the room. Most everyone was very friendly and tried to help. A couple of the staff in the café tended to ignore you if you asked for something IE ran out of guacamole and peanut butter. When the manager showed up he made then get the missing items.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Showing some where and some of the furnishings appeared outdated to me. Lots of very nice areas though with the holiday themed appointments in the ships center.
Cabin / Stateroom

decent balcony. Beds were hard as a rock and pillows not great. Arm on the sofa was broke down. Robes and umbrellas were porvided. Nice tv set. A/c worked well. Kind of noisy as you could hear people talking in adjacent rooms and above. Tight toilet area. Single bowl vessel sink. Smallish shower but adequate
Ship tip
Make sure you secure your medications and valuables. (meds in safe I guess) Don't expect the food to wow you
Had to tender in to the very small dock area. Had to travel 3-4 miles into town from the dock. That was ok. Very nice town area with nice shopping. Excursion canceled due to weather and water conditions
Agreed about the food. We thought Carnival had better food in the MDR than Celebrity, which speaks volumes when you pay so much more for “luxury”. The dishes may be “fancier” but as far as quality of the food and taste, Carnival somehow wins.
