Review summary

My trip was great...the only issue was the population was much older than expected, there were so many walkers, wheel chairs scooters all around the ship, the overall vibe on the ship was muted.

We enjoyed the drink package, but was underwhelmed with the menu for the dinning rooms and felt the specialty restaurants were too expensive.

Good morning, I do not recall any comments in my review being disrespectful at all to the elderly (or physically challenged) so please do not make an issue where this is not an issue. I stated MY observation and MY opinion regarding MY vacation and ultimately gave a great review. If you disagree, please write your own review. Happy travels!

My husband and I are in our 70's heading for 80 and love to cruise. We now pack snorkels instead of tux and gowns, and have a blast! We cruise for itinerary (best beaches and reefs!) and love Celebrity, Carnival, and RCL. We also love seeing kids, teens, and young adults on board. It makes for a more interesting group at dinner when we eat and chat. I hope I can still be in the water chasing turtles when I'm 90, but if I can't, I just race other "oldies" with my scooter. Stay young!!!

We are a young couple and my husband has to use a walker. People with mobility devices are not all old!

My sisters and myself took our mom on her first cruise for her 80th birthday . She loved it. Never too old. Hope im still cruising at 80

Hmmm....I was on the same cruise and didn't notice that many walkers or wheelchairs. I thought it was a wide age range and had a magnificent cruise!

Great ship. The older crowd is the best, no one judging like young immature millennials! Stay on your party ship and have fun. Less people like you on the equinox makes for better cruising!

We were on Eauinox last year. Yes, a older crowd, but had a blast. Great Irish group on board, step dancing and playing music on the pool deck. Its all about what you want.

We had a great time on Celebrity Baltic Cruise in May. Lots of oldies on board...70 too 80, enjoyed their company being young ourselves. The entertainment manager Sue joked about oldies every night in main Theatre....funny but not disrespectful.

Glad you made it a great cruise anyway. Hope you are able to travel until you drop. Earlier this year on Celebrity, I met a lady celebrating her 80th birthday on board, accompanied by her 83 yo sister and their 103 yo mother. They were spry and got around the ship just fine. I often travel with a 98 yo who gets around great. A change of scenery does wonders for most folks.

Haha, you think that was extreme? Try a 14 day Holland America Alaskan cruise in September. Omg, thought they were going to convert a public deck into an intensive care unit!

Sounded like when we went on oasis, 75% were from a big retirement group in Florida. Every day lots of alpha, alpha, alpha calls . Still a great cruise though
