Review summary
Yalchin- Always observing how to be helpful and keeping an eye on both staff and guests. Very professional. Floriano- (Silhouette) Very attentive to names and hospitable by attending to our needs even before we would think of asking. Michael- (Cabin attendant) Was very friendly, kind, thorough, and efficient. Our refrigerator was broken and he was kind enough to keep a bucket of ice filled so we could keep our things cold the entire trip. I would recommend Michael to shadow Yalchin. I think he'd be great at it after the experience. Laura- guest services was very helpful. We have four young children and it was important to us to be able to contact them at the end of each day. We purchased a cell package and she was very key in helping us through some problems even after AT&T gave up on trying to help us. (We'll be dealing with them soon on this matter.) Not sure her name but she was cheerful black girl we nick named the "Dancing Sanitizer". Excursions Red Sail-Catamaran and snorkel- My favorite- the crew was professional and fun. You could tell they had been trained well and liked what they did. Red Sail has hit a sweet spot with their crew and patrons. The weather and water was perfect which of course helped :) Gio, Kyle, Chloe and the captain (I forget his name but he was excellent!!!) I'd highly recommend them. Cozumel- Clear kayak and snorkel- This was disappointing because we wanted to be able to be more autonomous. We snorkeled with Red Sail on our own in deep water and felt like little kids being corralled. Our expectation was to be able to snorkel where we wanted and kayak within reason but we had to be in a group the entire time. So it would have been nice to have known that before booking it. Our guides Luis & Roberto were good but should be a little more discerning of the guests their experience by giving more experienced people more freedom to explore. Also brightly colored rash guards for the guides would be appreciated the darker rash guards are difficult to keep in sight. Lastly- Cruise Director Maarten- 4 out of 10 on professional impression. Yes, he should be fun and enthusiastic but he does not fit the character of what you are trying to present. He's too cheesy, he tries to hard not authentic, his suits are too tight (needs a good tailor to fit his suit to his style) In my opinion he would be a better fit for Carnival. Julie-Guest relations manager had a presence about her that showed she cared and was professional about how she handled herself. She also seemed to be fun. She may be a good choice for a cruise director. Just saying... Your staff overall was amazing always friendly and cordial even the staff that you wouldn't expect to be. Thanks again for making our trip so special I would definitely recommend it to my friends (which I have already). Keep up the good work!!! Remy remstr919@gmail.comEmbarkation
