Review summary

Celebrity cruise lines are definitely an elite way to cruise. First rate in most every way. Simply add more deck chairs and vet the tours a bit better and it will be 5 star all the way! Can’t wait to cruise with them again

They main dining room and buffets were diverse and amazingly well prepared especially considering the sheer amount of food needed . However, the staff were singularly pushy when it came to the specialty restaurants. It became annoying to constantly be approached.

Onboard Activities

The activities directors Martin and Christina were fabulous as were the activities themselves. I especially enjoyed the dance lessons. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star rating here is the difficulty in finding deck chairs on any level not just near the pool. People were saving chairs at dawn as hoarding them all day. There needs to be much more availability

Without a doubt the staff were the highlight of the trip. Could not have been better. From Jacob and Billy in the dining room to Prince as our steward and everyone in between. This staff was remarkable

Do not put your phone near your keycard or carry key cards together as they become de- magnetized. Also bring a lanyard for easy access of the card as you will use it non stop while onboard

The island itself was breathtaking but the tours were at best so-so. Our dive excursion was tailored to the least experienced diver and we spent 20 minutes simply swimming in one area at 10 feet deep. It felt more like snorkeling than diving. The staff was rather pushy about tips as well. Disappointing. Our next excursion to us on a tour of the island which in and of itself was very good but the tour director spoke very broken English. I actually fell asleep at one point due to being tired of trying to understand what she was saying. Celebrity should book with English speaking guides.

Reposting! You can ask the pool monitor to remove items from chairs empty for 30 mins or more. OR... put the stuff on the floor after a half hour of no occupancy and move the chair. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! It took me a number of cruises before I had the nerve to do this, but I paid the same (or more) than the chair hogs! We LOVE the Equinox! Gonna be there again in September!!
