No WOW factor, disappointed we did not get to see Punta Cana due to rough waters and no port.

Review summary

It was ok, the ports seem to be more of the same ole, same ole. There was no WOW factor with these ports. We were on a western Carribean last time we sailed with Equinox and LOVED it.

Our waiters were wonderful.

Onboard Activities

Music was great! Pools were frustrating as there were so many people and not enough lounges. People saved pool seats in the morning for the day. Evening shows were good.

We were on a cruise with a port call on one of the private islands by tender. After only a few hours ashore the seas had become so rough the captain had to order us back aboard. I can assure you that you don't want to be in a tender in rough water. The experience for a short while could be looked at on the bright side as as wet and exciting or you could look at it as downright scary. We chose to try to enjoy it but I would not recommend it. After going through the rough water remember you're still on a little tender that's bobbing up and down, in & out, beside a ship that's fairly stable, so even with extra crew to assist you can't walk off in any normal procession, if you have to wait until there's a moment so you can hop on the ramp and scramble inside. A Captain that says don't go because the waters are too rough is doing you a favor.
