Ship tip

It’s still best value for the money,in that class of ship, and we’ve had over 30cruises on many lines.I find their staff to be consistently friendly and helpful, unlike some other lines. They always seem to have enough help, also unlike some other lines.

After years of cruising, we have been at the "usual" ports several times. We try to find a different excursion, or just do a "beach break" or taxi tour of an area or site we want to revisit. We always see something interesting. BTW - the taxi for part of a day often costs less than a mediocre tour, especially if you find another like-minded couple to share. Go exploring!

Shame to hear that she is showing signs of wear, but happy to hear she is clean. The Equinox is my favorite of the ships I have been on, I was on her twice in 2011 and 2012. I'd cruise on her again anytime.

Glad you made your own fun in spite of the familiarity with the posts of call. How true that the ships take a beating with so many passengers yearly and the salt air/water constantly wearing away the finish.

Can you be more detailed on what exactly needs upgrading? 9 years old is relatively new for a cruise ship. Thanks, but your review is hardly helpful to future cruisers.
