Overall, very satisfied. Nice itinerary. Would have wished we had a little more time at some of the ports, but overall, a very nice experience at a good price.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very efficient and organized process for checking-in. The staff at the check-in counter were very friendly. Greeted with champagne at the entrance. The muster drill was a little haphazard and lengthy though - I think that aspect could have been better.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was generally very good, although some dishes could have been better. Would have preferred when we ordered multiple entrees to try, that they provide each entree in its entirety, rather than serving parts of multiple entrees on a single plate.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Standard set of activities onboard: casino, shopping, pools, hot tubs, fitness center, sun decks, solarium. One of the unique features is the Corning hot glass show, which was great - young, energetic artists with great commentary. The lawn on the top deck is cool. Good for relaxing and playing bocce/croquet. However, the grass is too long and soft to be a true putting green. Ping pong and basketball courts are fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Uptown was great, comedians were decent. Regular performers were not bad, although 3 out of the 7 nights featured shows that felt repetitive (singing, dancing, acrobats with mostly modern pop music and not any real semblance of a story line). Don't get me wrong, they were very good - just didn't feel like much variety - same basic formula with same artists, just different costumes, different songs, and different choreography. Adding more true variety to the every night performances would enhance the experience. Celebrity chefs on board were great (Moveable Feast)
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Excellent crew. Very attentive and patient to our needs.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very good ship, well-maintained, smooth ride, great ventilation, and very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very comfortable. Clean and good size, great view of the ocean.
Ship tip
Pick an itinerary with plenty of ports of call. Equinox isn't a massive ship like Oasis of the Seas, and so if you're on for too long, it starts to feel a little boring/stale. Shopping on ship is a little limited, and as I mentioned above, the activities start to feel less variable.
Amazing Mayan ruins, definitely worth seeing. But do wonder how well the ship vets the excursion companies they partner with, considering the horrible tragedy that occurred with the bus crash on 12/19. Thoughts and prayers for the 12 who were lost and the others who were injured as well.
We did the local island tour - great sites including hell, seven mile beach, tortuga rum cake factory. Only complaint is that tendering process makes getting from ship to shore a long process.
