Review summary

Overall, a great cruise. Ports were beautiful and so much to do on them. Ship was great and rather restful. Wish the casino would have lower tables since there were so many empty tables. A $300 minimum table for blackjack...really? There should also be more restrooms in the terminal in Miami. Once you pass baggage claim, the only one is a high-end port-a-potty in the parking garage across the street with one stall!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Port of Miami seems to be understaffed. Lines took longer tan I normally wait elsewhere.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I was in Aqua Class so dined in Blu most of the time. Exceptional food and service as always. World Class Bar not as good as the former Molecular Bar. Really miss the MB; hope something similar returns on Edge.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Basic activities. Pool, Solarium, fitness center.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Celebrity has never been known for their entertainment, unfortunately. The entertainment on equinox did improve since April's cruise with a new activities director.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship has the best service and staff than others ships. Blu Dining Room is the Best! Vinod our waiter, Sari, the assistant wait and Adrian the wine steward...all very attentive and exceptional..

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very easy to navigate and the design is contemporary. However, it looks like the carpeting is starting to wear, especially round the stairs. But, yes, the ship is very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Normal size balcony cabin but extra longer balcony. Love that! Cabin is/was kept clean and the room steward was very good.

Ship tip

Don't expect great entertainment. Casino is always open, though, but minimums are $10 on most table games.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

We arrived one day pre-cruise and stayed in the downtown area. Not much to do there but for the one night, not a big deal. Since our post cruise hotel on Collins Ave in Miami Beach cancelled our original reservation about a month before the trip, we cut our stay. We did however book the hop on/hop off bus tour. I've done it before just to kill some time before a late flight.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Beautiful island, crystal water. We did the Deluxe Stingray Sandbar tour. Much better than one I did last April Much more calmer water.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Always love this port. Took our own shuttle with Carlyle, the driver. For $5, he took us right to Eagle Beach, and asked what time to be picked up. He was right there when he said he would. For the $5, we got chaise loungers and use of the Divi Resort.

Willemstad, Curacao

Had a one-day complimentary pass for the AVILA BEACH RESORT. Great resort with private beach. However, we find the island not as friendly as the others. Taxi drivers rather rude.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
LOVED LOVED LOVED this island. We did a non-ship excursion by Bonaire Cruisers. It is a golf cart rental company. Saw so much on our own time.

Key West, Florida

3 out of 5
I love this port but wasn't able to enjoy it as normally would due to companion's illness.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
SO SO SO easy. Off the ship and through the terminal within minutes. Since we had immigration on the ship before disembarking in Key West, there was no customs to go through in the terminal. Grabbed our bags and proceeded to the excursion bus.
