Review summary

The best cruise ever! I definitely want to cruise on celebrity again because it beats all of the resorts and other cruises I've been on. The staff is amazing, the design is great. The food is very good, I haven't been able to find frog legs or escargot anywhere else but here. I wish I could give the cruise over 5 stars. The ports were okay too, but I was always happy to be back on board. I'm so thankful for such an amazing experience.

Embarkation

The agents were nice and security didn't take long, but we did have to wait an hour before boarding the ship. Our luggage and rooms were soon ready, and we were allowed to eat in the cafe right away.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I loved the buffet and Silhouette dining room. The food was always fresh, and there was a large variety. All of the chefs and waiters were very hardworking so everything was very clean and tidy. I enjoyed how the food was presented in the restaurants. I highly recommend the frog legs, duck a l'orange, and creme brulee even though everything was delicious. I was surprised to find out that so much food was made by hand like the perfectly flaky pastries and fresh pizzas (you could actually choose the toppings), and some specialty restaurants even make their own pastas. I don't drink, but the people who sat next to us were always ordering something from the bar, and the wine collection is impressive even if you are just looking.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went to the hot glass show, and it was very impressive. It was the first time we had gone to deck 15 where the lawn club is so we got to see how grass was growing on top of a ship which was pretty cool. We also went to the fitness center a few times and we enjoyed the view of the ocean from there. At sea days were mostly spent tanning on deck 14, musicians were playing music, people were dancing and playing in the pool, it was a lot of fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedians were hilarious, we loved them so much. The singers were also great along with the musicians; however, I didn't find the dancers entertaining at all. Also, I wish the time of the post-dinner show was closer to dinner time so that we could go straight to the theater after dinner. Overall though, I thought the theater was great and I definitely looked forward to it every day.

Children's Programs

I don't have young children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the crew members were great. They made me feel very welcome and were always very helpful. They were very nice people to talk to and provided very useful information about the ship and the different ports. Everyone was very hard working and kept everything very tidy. I'm so thankful to the crew for making my stay so pleasant and enjoyable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I liked the modern design and the glass elevators, everything looked glamorous, yet still spacious. There was plenty of room so I din't feel crowded. The buffet had a large area and the dining room restaurant was magnificent with the beautiful chandeliers and wine collection. The staff was very good about making sure everything was clean and tidy. There were no odors like on other cruises, and the a/c worked well. Of all the cruise lines I have been on, Celebrity definitely has the best design and is very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was much more spacious than the other cruises I've been on. The rooms were cleaned very quickly and the towels were always replaced with new ones. There was plenty of room to put my belongings, and I'm glad they had a hair dryer (I didn't bring mine). The view from the balcony was very nice and refreshing in the mornings and the design made it really easy to get around the room. The beds were very good because I always slept very well without getting up at night, and the temperature is perfect without any drafts (I am very sensitive to drafts). Everything was very clean and comfortable, definitely the best room I have had on a cruise.

Ship tip

I suggest that you bring many stylish clothes. Don't be afraid to wear a dress or a tie because you will feel much more confident. Also, take a ton of pictures, you will want to remember what a great time you had.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
The port itself was okay, there was a beach, but I'm not a fan of the tall skyscrapers. Of course, there are a lot of streets where you can stop by at a small cafe, or walk to the park, but its still a very big and busy city. It was a good port, I just don't like the urban atmosphere.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
I loved the small buildings and shops, I definitely felt like I was on vacation. We took a trolley around the town and then we walked for a few miles. The air was better than in Miami and there was a refreshing breeze. There were many tourist attractions and it was very clean, although there isn't a very good beach if you want to go swimming. I liked this port because of the small buildings, and calm environment

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Throughout this trip we were looking to find a nice beach, and this was the first place we found one. It was close to the ship which was convenient, and there were many different kinds of excursions you could go on if you wanted to. We went kayaking which was fun, but mostly just swam in the ocean and tanned.

Cozumel, Mexico

the dock was long so we had to walk for quite a while, many people took the trolley, but we chose to walk because it was perfect for taking pictures. The water was turquoise and you could see the ship in the background, it was lovely. When we were trying to get to the beach though, we got a crazy driver. He didn't take us to the beach we wanted, he wouldn't let us get out of the car, and he just kept driving. We couldn't communicate with him, but thankfully managed to stop at a resort where another person helped us find the beach. After this crazy ride, we got to the beach, where the water was clear and we spent the day there. On our way back, we had a different driver who was much better. The port was good, its just we somehow ended up with this horrible driver.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
It was amazing. The water was crystal clear, the beach was super clean, and it was very peacful with very few people. I went parasailing for the first time, and other people were fishing in the water or jet skying. It was very fun, yet still very relaxing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was sad leaving, but we disembarked very rapidly. Everything was organized very well and it took very little time. I doubt that an hour had passed before we were off the ship and at our next hotel.
