Review summary

The ship is beautiful but we chose it because the itinerary is very interesting and unusual. We were not disappointed.

Another aspect of the cruise that we really enjoyed was the Hot Glass Show with artists from the Corning Glass Museum. The best glass blowing demonstrations we have ever seen.

The food was good, particularly the specialty restaurant Murano where they prepared certain dishes tableside. Don't miss the lobster!

The entertainment was also excellent, we enjoyed the nightly shows in the theater  and had our favorite quartet that played in the various bars in the evening.

We met lovely people from all over, Americans, Canadians and Europeans.

All in all, everything a vacation should be, a little relaxing, a little educational and

a little romantic.

Cabin / Stateroom

lots of closet space but little drawer space, maybe they could utilize the space under the sofa.

Ship tip

Even though it is large it is easy to find your way around because they have good diagrams of the ship at the elevators/ stairwells.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

the day we disembarked, we had a late flight so we spent time on the water taxi, interesting views of the canals and able to on and off to see different places in Ft Lauderdale.

Cozumel, Mexico

awful cruise ship dock, a lot of crummy stores but had fun swimming with the manatees.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

zip line at Jungle Breeze was so much fun, Tortorga Canal boat ride was interesting but not in the national park, Banana plantation was more interesting than I thought it would be.

Colon, Panama

Gatun locks was very interesting , we had a great guide, Rey from Alimeza tours but the city of Colon itself is extremely poor, the worst of the cruise ports.

Cartagena, Colombia

Not so many peddlers on Monday in the Old City.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We were lucky we booked our trip to Sting Ray city on our own , we heard all the ships water tours were cancelled because of rough seas but there were lots of boats there and it didn't seem too rough.
