Review summary

The Equinox is a beautiful place to spend a few days. It really became home. The crew was amazing in its friendliness and attention to detail. They were very good for the most part at greeting you and we enjoyed getting to know them. There were so many spots outside and inside for just relaxing. The lawn club was very unique and was a hit with many people. the different places to gather on each deck and the venues to hear music was outstanding. the food was good although not outstanding. certainly didn't lack for selection. we would highly encourage others to sail on one of the Solstice class ships.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great although sometimes the taste was not there in some of the soups. we never went to the specialty restaurants as we didn't feel like we wanted to pay more for eating than we already had when we purchased the cruise.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was good, although I didn't care for the big show stuff. prefer small settings with more relaxing entertainment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
top notch and friendly and engaging

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout of the ship was wonderful and easy to navigate. the ship was immaculate and rarely did you see debris or trash. It was decorated beautifully and gave you such a sense of being a comfortable resort.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
More room than we expected and the Veranda was a place we enjoyed each day/evening. great place to eat/read/relax.

what can you say about the history there? certainly worth the walking
Don't Miss: Ancient Athens

Santorini, Greece

Oai is a must see and taking the time to walk around the city/shops. simply a very nice island
Don't Miss: Oai

Salerno (Naples), Italy

Wished we would have stopped here longer rather than spending two nights in Istanbul. the Amalfi coast is awesome and it would have been great to explore some of the towns along the coast. Pompeii was incredible and worth a few hours.
Don't Miss: Amalfi coast

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
we were blessed to have our own guide and he was very knowledgeable, but also brought us to a place where in the end they tried to sell us turkish rugs which we have no interest in buying. Ask ahead of a private guide, just exactly where will you take us. Being Christian we were moved by the history of Epheseus.
Don't Miss: Epheseus

Mykonos, Greece

Great great island and beautiful. we liked it more than Santorini. Rented a four wheeler and covered half the island. found a beautiful beach, Ormos, and had lunch on the sand

Pros: The amount of detail in space usage on the ship

Cons: too much nickel and dime costs for food and internet
