Overall, an amazing vacation on a beautiful ship! I would sail on the Edge again in a heartbeat! I can’t say enough about the qualify of the food, service, activities and entertainment. We loved the infinite veranda and can’t imagine cruising without one ever again.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation in Barcelona was very smooth and well-organized. I did miss the glass of sparkling wine they used to offer upon boarding, but otherwise it was fine.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All four MDRs had excellent food! Normandie seemed to have the most friendly, efficient service. Tuscan had my favorite food. But all four made me feel like I was dining in a high-end restaurant nightly. Ocean View Buffet was really good, with the exception of the burgers. They were always over cooked. Service was the most inconsistent here.
Al Bacio had the best service of all the bars, but all were good. Lots of creative cocktail choices and a nice wine selection. Try the espresso martinis at the martini bar for sure!
I wish that one or two MDRs had offered sea day brunch, but they didn’t. I also think that Eden Cafe and the Spa Cafe should have longer breakfast and lunch hours.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was always something to do! Lots of deck parties, silent discos, trivia games, pool games and dance lessons. Even more dance lessons would be fabulous! The jogging track is the best one I’ve ever seen on a ship. The pool was large but I wish they would enforce rules around “chair hogging”. Big problem!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The nightly shows didn’t disappoint at all! All were wonderful and they offered something for everyone.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The best service I’ve experienced on a ship! Excellent bartenders, waiters, room stewards, security… The only exception was in Ocean View Cafe where it was not bad, but not nearly as flawless as the rest of the ship.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is incredible. Not a single complaint about the ship or the design. Eden was my favorite area, followed by rooftop garden.

Ship tip
Book Eden for dinner asap if you want to get in - we didn’t and missed out. The infinite veranda is worth it - get one! Don’t miss the shows - they’re fabulous, Vegas style entertainment.
This port was such a surprise. Ajaccio was very interesting and full of friendly locals! The beach was beautiful, and we enjoyed an hour or so there. The market was lots of fun - wish I had gotten pics. Corsican wines are delicious and hard to find outside of Corsica so try them if you’re a wine need like me.
Rome is full of amazing history, but it’s crowded and dirty. Taxi rides are terrifying and expensive and most of the locals are incredibly rude. The exception was Taverna 51, where we had dinner one night. The food was delicious and the staff was warm and welcoming.
