Review summary

We enjoyed the stops but did not expect so many children/teens.

Embarkation

Perfect. Arrived at 11am and were on the ship by 11.30am

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was very good. Also a lot of vegetarian/vegan/healthy option. Buffet with the outside area was better for us than the MDR.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
This cruise was full of kids/teens. As there is not much to do for them they were all in the pool/pooldeck without supervision. No parents and no lifeguard.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the shows and the cruise director is realy good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most of the staff was very friendly. Some people were very rude to them.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Pooldeck was chaos with a lot of trash/empty plates. Pool was nice in the morning but awfull in the afternoon.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Ship tip

Even if you sail in Europe; do not sail in July. It was terrible.

Ports of call

Ajaccio, Corsica

5 out of 5
We did a snorkeling trip with Celebrity and enjoyed this.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

4 out of 5
Be aware; almost no taxi's at the port so take the shuttle to the city or walk 1hour. We prefered the other stops.

Portofino, Italy

5 out of 5
Tendering, return was choas, with a 1,5 hour waiting time in the sun. Portofino is nice. We have been here before.

La Spezia, Italy

5 out of 5
We did a foodtour with get your guide and had a nice time. Very nice city. You have to take the free shuttle and you arrive in the port (5 minutes to the city center).

Valencia, Spain

5 out of 5
Did a food tour with Celebrity. Lovely city. We will return.

Disembarkation

Perfect. We walked of in 5minutes at 8.30am

Thanks for your detailed review. Glad you had a nice time. We like to schedule cruises when the kids are in school. Also given a choice of rock walls to climb or not, we pick the ship without the kid friendly stuff. Appreciate the company of seniors like us.

@wonderwoman8405; it was a Celebrity cruise in Europe, not a Carnival cruise in the US. As we also live in Europe we did not expect is to be full of children/teens as summer holiday in Europa is just starting mid July/August.

Usually Celebrity doesn’t have too many children but where it was July and no school that could be why. We usually cruise in March or April and the weather is great. Glad you enjoyed even if too many kids. Celebrity is a great cruise line.
