Review summary

Over all we were happy. The food and Service and the crew try hard and you can see that. Good Team Culture. The entertainment and connection with the cruise director was very well below industry standard. Haedly any activities on ship. The entertainers were very poor throughout the ship. Performance Timing was very odd. As an example center of the ship didnn't have continuous entertainment during busy hours after comingback from shore ( 6 Pm and 11 pm) disappointning compared to other cruises. the start of the ship lacked luster. You look at other ships leaving and they have the pool get started party. Almost indurty standard, We were shocked that they didn't have that. A very poor start. Kills the excitment for the trip.

Onboard Activities

there wasn't enough activities that we were aware of. Maybe an introduction to whats on board will be good

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Stage shows were nice ( Except one that was ok). Other than that the entertainment on board was very weak compared to all the other cruises we did before ...... that was disappointing considering how nice the ship is

Service and Staff

fantastic service. You do a good job making us feel well cared for

Ship Quality

again this is compared to other cruise lines. The ship's design is great. the rooms and especially the batrhrooms are the best we have seen for a similar class room. What i like aout other cruise lines like Princess , and maybe this is moreof entertainment thana ship's design, they have a focal point to go to when a person needs to chill. Princess oes a good job having the center as a focal point. There is ALWAYS good entertainment and activities there and people usually gather there. I didnt experience that on EDGE. By the time you know the ship it is too late.

Cabin / Stateroom

size and setup including bathrooms and Electrical outlet .... all fantastic

Ship tip

get to know the ship early. many spots you don't know till the end.

You refer to industry standards and other cruise lines, but no history. Would appreciate more comments about ports of call.

Nice itinerary. Appreciate your detailed review. Glad you MOSTLY enjoyed your cruise, even if it was less active than hoped.
