Review summary

Celebrity is my go to line and it has earned our business because of the dependable product they deliver. 35 cruises and 11 with celebrity we keep coming back. Booked on a 14 night on the eclipse in ‘21. To me the little thing add up and make it a carefree relaxing experience.....just what we want

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Even after reading so many reviews of just how fluid embarking would be.....it was even better. Arrived at 10:30 expecting to be sitting in a lounge for a while...not to be. We were on board with glass in hand at 10:40,

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I’m picky and Celebrity delivered in every venue we ate in. Luminae IS over the top good and consistent with a fabulous staff attentive to every detail. LePetite Chef is a kick and needs to be enjoyed at least once. A fun experience. The buffet grazing on The Edge is Bette than any other ship imho. Luminae is so relaxing yet professional at every level it is a joy to have a meal and experience the ever changing menus.

Onboard Activities

I can only speak to the suite Retreat sun deck where we spent most of our time. Pool, hot tub and general area is beautiful and relaxing. The service is amazing..... fruit kabobs, Prosecco, gelato brought to you throughout the afternoon....what else could you want. Pampered for sure.

Entertainment

IMHO this is the only weak area of The Edge and that’s not saying it’s bad...just not what we’re looking for. If you want a string trio...not to be. Certainly not a deal killer for us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This is the area Celebrity shines. Every one and I mean every staff member is amazing. A server in the lounge brought me fresh brewed coffee after noticing I was reading without a cup...mentioned he noticed I didn’t drink what was brought to me the day before that wasn’t fresh brewed but I did drink what he brought me 2 days earlier. WOW, I want to hire that guy. Tap in Eden bar taking the time to show me how to make a Planter drink (was a big hit at our Thanksgiving) un rushed and let me video him. Our personal serving team in Luminae...all great and observant. I know it’s what you pay for but it’s refreshing to actually experience staff that wants to please and serve.

Ship Quality

I love the new design of making you wander and explore. So many places to sit and read or people watch or drink. The MC is a fun place to hang out. The biggest surprise is even with a full ship....7 days at sea, there is never a crowded feel.

Cabin / Stateroom

Love love love it. Good size balcony and you get to see the MC slide Beyoncé in a while. Beautiful design, plenty of room and great attendants.

Ship tip

Make sure you allow plenty of time on board to see everything. Even after 14 nights I still didn’t see everything
