Review summary

Great time. Nice to sail on a new ship. Best pool on any of the Celebrity Ships. Spacious with really nice lounge chairs in the water. No problem getting a chair on the pool deck or at the solarium.

Embarkation

Exceptional. Checked in on my phone. When we arrived at port the express pass on my phone was scanned, passports checked and on the ship we went to our room to deposit our carryons (seapass cards were in a slot on our door). Process took less than 5 minutes. Didn't go to a counter and/or stand on line. Exceptional

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Blu was outstanding. Great food, exceptional service.

Café Al Bacio

5 out of 5

Great place to grab a pot of tea or specialty coffee.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Games were fun. Finally a pool that a lot of people can enjoy. Enjoyed the Thermal Suites.

Sea Thermal Suite

5 out of 5

Clean and relaxing. I just wish our sea pass card (Aqua Class) provided access like on the Reflection so that we didn't have to wait at the desk to turn in or sea pass card and then again to get it back when we finished.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was great. Comedians were very funny and engaged the audience. Musicians were outstanding. Entertainment in Eden just wasn't our thing. Shops are mostly high end.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stateroom was always attended too. Service in Blu was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and many thanked us for sailing with Celebrity. Plenty of staff around the pool and bartenders were attentive and engaging I conversation.

Ship Quality

Undecided about the infinite balcony. I enjoy sitting outside on a balcony. You can lower the window and do that on the Edge but the air conditioning shuts off in your room which then makes the room humid. It is also nice to leave it closed and extend the size of your room but not sure that is worth the price. Disappointed in the location of Blu. On the other ships, Blu affords a view and ability to watch the ocean and a sun set. The drapes are always closed on the Edge because the view is of large pieces of equipment on the deck. No at all what you would expect. Feels like it was just stuck somewhere. Not well thought out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
As I indicated above, not sure how I feel about the infinite balcony. I did miss sitting out there and then being able to go back into a room that was cool. I did enjoy the shower in Aqua Class an there is an abundance of storage in the cabin. Like the modern touches like self closing drawers, doors and the digital thermostat and light controls. You can also control all of those things and the TV from your phone app. Bedding was luxurious and very comfortable. Couch is a bit low.

Ship tip

Be prepared for great food, exceptional service and a lot of modern touches.
