Review summary

As an older couple (60+) we recently sail the Edge and had a very enjoyable cruise. Our review is reflective of our age and the fact we’ve been on over 50+ cruises. For us Edge’s unique design and technology was a refreshing new experience, yet every ship will have both positive and negative aspects. I list the Pro and Cons as we saw them. Pros: Embarkation & debarkation Excellent fastest ever. Unique beautiful Ship design. Very High technology. Room lighting, Large TV, bathroom layout – Shower & water Pressure – Infinite Balcony concept enclosed for comfort, extended room size, offered beautiful ocean views and could be remotely opened. Cabin steward excellent job cleaning and maintaining room. “Amenia” Standard Dining rooms food Very, Service Good Paid Dining food Excellent, Service Excellent with special experiences. Oceanview Café upper deck food Excellent Service Excellent. Martini Bar –Drinks Very Good, Service Excellent, bartenders entertaining. Captain of ship entertaining . Wi-Fi was very good to Excellent always Cons: Room temperature setting did not go low enough. Bed pillows on the hard side. Only one Bar (Martini Bar) in the Centrum/Promenade – people would wait for seat to be vacated. There should have been a bar on each side. . The dance floor in Centrum/Promenade was extremely small and often consumed by the music entertainers. Music entertainment in Centrum/Promenade fair at best. Between song choices, talent and dance floor size –very little dancing was done or could be done. Centrum/Promenade needs big improvement. Being the main gathering place it needs improvement. Ship lacks venues of varied entertainment; for the younger crowd this could be a very boring cruise. Note : For us the Pros this time out did the cons, but this could have been a 5 Star Cruise changes.
