The App is a good idea - IF it actually worked, it gave misinformation and it didnt work to open your door. the Edge is ALL about Suite guests and the rich, no shops for every day shopping or to buy souvenirs. It is the first time I have gone away and felt actually poor. The one good thing was that staff did enforce the rules about no kids in the solarium, but I was surprised to see large lilos allowed in a crowded pool, dangerous I would off thought, especially with 450 kids on board.
Embarkation

We did a B2B it was very good
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Cyprus was excellent, we didnt like the others. Buffet area was much nicer then other ships.
The Club
2 out of 5
a nice area apart from one irritating thing ..... it was constantly freezing. I live in the UK I didnt go to The Bahamas to be frozen, I used to love getting off the ship to be warm, so as a result we couldnt go to activities there as I didnt bring any warm clothing as was not expect the ship to be so cold.
Spa Cafe & Juice Bar
3 out of 5
over all very good, just think it is unfair you have to pay for smoothies. why the extra charge when on a classic package. the App said you could get porridge here but yet. it was never served.
Tuscan Restaurant
1 out of 5
service was awful, felt like a canteen, wouldnt go back
The Sunset Bar
1 out of 5
we went there once for sail away, but all the seats were so wet we all had wet bottoms and the water just poured from under the seats
The Martini Bar
5 out of 5
this is the hub of the ship without a doubt, however not enough seats around the bar to sit on. Johanas is the BEST bar man.
Rooftop Garden Grill
2 out of 5
not really great, food was not hot early warm, it was cold and windy, maybe it should be closed when the weather is bad.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
missed the old favourites, like bingo, why get rid of that? and the times of the quizzes didnt suit us so missed them mostly
Pool
3 out of 5
the pool area is good and clean, but a total lack of service with only 2 people walking around, dirty glasses being given and the use of lilos in the pool when it is so crowded is just dangerous, one lady just banging into everyone laughing and saying sorry doesnt cut it. Loved the chairs in the actual pool area, made a good social setting
Eden
1 out of 5
totally weird. didnt get it, fairies invading your personal space staring into your face and it was just uncomfortable. Far too weird for us.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
we went to 1 show on this cruise due to the previous weeks disaster of shows. We did not like the ships company entertainment, we were so looking forward to entertainers coming on board like tenors of rock or the like, but no. it was truly awful
Rooftop Garden
1 out of 5
such a shame, that you chose white seat cushions which were totally destroyed by the soot and smoke coming from the funnels, so you couldnt sit on them.
The Theatre
2 out of 5
seems smaller then normal , liked the stage but not the acts awful.
Children's Programs
I don't have kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The awareness of ships officers was non existent on this cruise. Carlos and Francesco in Cyprus were the best waiters and very attentive. and Johanas and Alan and Ari in the Martini bar were the best, they made our cruise to be honest, especially Johanas. such a nice kind man.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
the ship actually grows on you from first impressions. it is a nice ship once you get orientated. but missed the library, kind of liked the 4 different main dining rooms except fr the fact the Tuscan is NOT the Tuscan grill, very bad naming choice as it just left everyone disappointed, as we were expecting certain food which was not true. and the actual Tuscan ambiance was awful. felt like a school canteen. with the worst service. on other ships you would constantly have your water refilled, on this ship it must of been rationed as on one even I asked 5 times for more water and still didnt get any. The Martini bar does not have enough room or enough seats around the bar. the couch bit is awful as you just slide off it and you can't sit back on it as your legs stick out.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
size was good, it was kept mostly clean apart from the stool bin that was beside the bed which was full of rubbish when we arrived and was never emptied after that, and under the couch had empty boxes from last people on the cruise. the infinity Balcony, is really a joke, its NOT a balcony its wasted space with 2 chairs that get in the way and a window.
Ship tip
Book Cyprus to eat in and ask for Carlos. get to Martini bar early.
we did a boat trip to see the planes land, however I did not expect that this would be sailing to the airport area and then sitting on the boat for 2 hours watching planes land only, reading it before hand it sounded like so much more and this was just part of it. very disappointing and a waste of money as you don't actually get to go on the beach.
we did St John on our own. but again when we got to our destination there was nothing to do or nothing to see, this again is not explained when you book, another waste of money
about the best tour we did in all. The driver was very good. We loved being able to go into Atlantis even if it was for a short time wed of loved longer. the rum place was nice, it was nice to see the island
it was follow the crowd really but when you got outside it was not clear where to go, we were booked to get a bus to the airport for a 9 hour wait to our flight. I think Celebrity could of brought us to a hotel or something considering the amount we payed for the B2B, but no drop us when we can't even check in. when we finally did see the bus it was mayhem as the Q for Taxis was so long it was unclear where we needed to go and no one at hand to help. we did ask one guy who pointed and very unhelpful told us down there.
