Cabin number: 9227

Review summary

We heard comments from several other cruises at the airport who had many complaints about other cruiselines. This was the first (but not the last) time with Celebrity - they absolutely hit the mark!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Good except for an hour immigration line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We stayed with the main dining menu and it was high class.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did the Spa package (incl. Sauna) and it was relaxing

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All shows/performances were very enjoyable

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everybody really made sure we are taken care of - NO was not part of their vocabulary.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
very well thought through. Everything well maintained and documented

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
all 4 suitcases fit under the bed, the cabin was spotless clean

Ship tip

like on every cruise: eat outside the mainstream hours. 8:30pm is actually a good time to eat on the ship!

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Love Vancouver, anyway - Stanley Park is awesome.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
Good entertainment

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
If you plan to eat King Crab outside (in the crab house) - do it here! The price was about half compared to Juneau ($20/cluster, about 4 legs vs. $40/lbs which is only about 3 legs in Juneau)

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Captain Leo is the best! We came about 2-3km closer to the glacier than the previous ship. It was so close that we felt it would have not been worth it to do the excursion with a small boat.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice town. We eat lunch outside in the blue building next to the front of the ship (The Hangar Restaurant). The Taku Inlet First Mate Plate (Halibut and Salmon) was the best Salmon I ever had (and much cheaper than the Salmon Bakes). Make sure to go up Mendenhall Glacier and the Waterfall (you go up the visitor center e.g. by Taxi), then walk about 15 minute to the waterfalls.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
nice port - the "Salmon ladder" is nice but we came about 1-2 weeks too early to see the Salmon

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Not the CruiseLine fault but (again) there was a strike of luggage staff and we had to schlepp all luggage ourselves. (Deja Vue from last cruise?) Other than that it would have been a 5-star

Been to Alaska three times but never seem to get to Icy Point Strait. Vancouver is a blast, so much to do, Gastown is loads of fun
