Would Do It Again! by LarryC12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Constellation was our 5th cruise and every thing went very smooth. We left out of San Juan on a 8 night eastern/southern Caribbean cruise. The service is superior and the boat is beautiful. Not as much to do as on a Royal Caribbean, but the pools are nice. Adults who want a cruises without that many kids need to travel on Celebrity. The food is the best of and cruise I have been on.

Felt like a celebrity! by briana928

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Celebrity Constellation 14 Night Scandinavian and Russian Cruise in June of 2005 was my first cruise and it did not disappoint! The ship was beautiful and although I wasn't old enough at the time for some of the lounges and the casino there was still plenty to do! I remember the weather was unexpectedly cold and the wind was so powerful they had to tie down the chairs to keep them from flying away! That being said, we never got to enjoy the pool and we only had 1 or 2 decent days the sit on the deck, but obviously Celebrity cannot control the weather! Dinner was fabulous and I loved getting to try so many new foods! Although this cruise was primarily older men and women, Celebrity did a great job of rallying the few teenagers that were on the ship and providing us our own space and activities (I'll never forget stealing the dance floor from all the "older folk" one night with all my new friends!). Definitely a blast and I look forward to cruising again now as an adult!

Fabulous ship, great service by XtraviX

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation

2 couples on a cruise. My first from San Juan. My luggage was very delayed from San Francisco the day before, and United wasn't much help along the way. My steward was so great, the ship sailed later, so there was time yet. He came to my dinner table with me in gift shop clothing, and let me know it arrived, just before we left. That was the beginning of one of my favorite cruises.

Celebrity cruiser by DianeF2

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

I just booked our cruise to the Southern Caribbean on Constellation for next February for the fourth time in a row. We love the Caribbean, however, the best part of the trip is the ship. We love the service, food, ammenities, the thelasotherapy pool and spa room, the shows, gym and whatever the crew can do to make your trip better they will do. Oh, and the captain is very charming too, a great p.r. man. We tried other cruise lines and none can compare. We, of course, are now members of captains club and they offer nice little perks also. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy-

My second cruise. I sailed... by 232

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

My second cruise. I sailed with Grandeur of the Seas in the Med. in 2001 and was very impressed with RCI. Celebrity was better with embarkation and disembarkation--a breeze and not the "cattle-car" on the Grandeur. The food was slightly better on the Constellation, which was outstanding. I was very happy with the Grandeur's food as well. Overall entertainment wasn't as good as the Grandeur, but close. Cabin service was comparable. The Constellation's crew was proud of their ship and for good reason. It is magnificant! I question why on such a beautiful ship that Celebrity would choose to display artificial plants including inside their conservatory? I seem to remember that the Grandeur of the Seas had a mixture of real and silk plants.Celebrity seemed to push a little more after the almighty dollar with constant promos of their upcharge "Ocean Liners" restaurant and the ever present photographers. The bar stewards weren't as bad.The ports of call in the S. Caribbean were gorgeous but I was glad that the ship left at dark everynight.I was impressed with the cleanliness of the ship and their attention to the current Norwalk virus incidents. As far as I know, nobody got sick on my cruise.Overall, Celebrity pampers you with excellent cuisine, service and a beautiful ship. I recommend it highly.

Parents, you'll love the Fun... by AngelaW7

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

Parents, you'll love the Fun Factory for kids. It's a wonderful and safe area for toddlers. Great computer games. Adults, you'll love the AquaSpa for adults only. Staff attentive but not over-bearing. A great experience, but I wish they would lower the amplification on the music and shows. The person in charge of amplication may have already lost part of his/her hearing because wonderful tunes are turned to a screech. A shame to waste great arias!

Fabulous Ship! by AK4

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

We just returned from the Dec. 18th sailing to the Southern Caribbean on the Constellation and had a fabulous time! So much so, that we are looking into doing another Constellation cruise next December. The Ship: Best I`ve been on. The staterooms are pretty standard, but the public areas are the best. From the public restrooms to the spa, everything is clean and beautifully appointed. The Thelassotherapy Pool (adults only!) is great! It`s in the rear of the ship and is enclosed--perfect for inclement weather. The Conservatory/Flower Shop is beautiful and a nice place to buy gifts. The shopping is pretty average offering the usual stuff--all reasonably priced though. The Online Center offers many computer stations, but it EXORBITANTLY priced -- $.75 per minute. The spa is great offering everything from teeth whitening to hot stone messages. Every nook and cranny of this ship is done up to the nines! Food: Food was good. The best was the Sushi Bar open from 6-10 on the 10th floor. Nothing better than eating sushi watching the sunset off the aft deck. The main dining room fare was quite good with a good choice of selections. The service in all dining areas & bars was the best we`ve experienced--they will do whatever they can to accommodate your requests. Great selection of beer & wine. Unlimited soda pass is $40, but still worth it if you drink lots of soda.

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

We were impressed with the embarkation procedures and how easy everything flowed. The food service was immaculate as well as delicious in every way. Entertainment was impressive, as well. All of the staff on board of the ship were extremely curtious and polite. They greeted us with a smile and a hello always. All-in-all, we loved the Constellation and plan on returning to this particular ship for future cruises.

Great ship with great service... by JeffreyK1

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

Great ship with great service and good food but not the place to spend extra money looking for a high-end experience. Was much happier on Explorer of the Seas last year for half the price.

We were on our honeymoon... by LesleyS

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

We were on our honeymoon on the October 4th sailing from Barcelona. Embarkation was easy, but not disembarkation. We had a lot of luggage and we felt like Celebrity just dumped us on the pier without making sure there were enough Large taxis to take us to the airport. The ship was nice, large rooms and accommodating staffers. The food was either very European or it wasn't as good as previous Celebrity cruises. Not much selection at the buffet lunch or the main seating dinners. This is a premium cruise line and there should be unlimited selection with variety. We found the entertainment to be very good, especially the pianist and singers. The pictures were extremely expensive, $80 for 8X10 and 2 5x7s. No choices either had to buy all three as a set.Basically, this is not the Celebrity of ten (10) years ago. The service has taken a turn for the worst, the food leaves something to be desired and the passenger care is not at the forefront of the Celebrity AGENDA. Evidenced by their desire to sell artworks at auction rather then add additional amenities for all passengers to enjoy. This is no longer a luxury line but a run of the mill operation, we will be seeking other cruise lines to meet our expectations for the money we spend.

All we can say is... by DadeS

Ship: Celebrity Constellation

All we can say is that we could not have had a better time! Our travel agent, Phyllis Lashley at Cruises Only in Miami, (305-935-9115 x31311) made booking a total joy. I can not recommend her more strongly. From the moment we arrived at check-in, the Celebrity staff was warm and welcoming. They made us feel as though we were the only passengers coming aboard. The ship is absolutely amazing. From the Spa to the disco and everything in between, it is first rate. The best part of the experience is the staff. Our cabin butler, Prast, was as pleasant and helpful as could be. The dining room staff, (George, the maitre d', Eugene, our waiter, and Ricardo, our assistant waiter), were perfect in every way. The Cruise Staff, (Ray, Jeffery, Steve and Lance), were so much fun that they had no problem keeping everyone entertained. The social hostess, Amanda, was the perfect hostess. Any problems that we did encounter, and there were very few, were handled with pleasure by Valerie in Guest Relations, and Theo. Thank you all so much for making our first Celebrity experience one to remember. The itinerary was also a treat. All the ports we visited were full of interresting and beautiful things to see and do.A very special "Thank You" to our Ship's Master, Captain Ioannis Papanikolaou, for the lovely dinner at the Captain's Table, the personel tour of the ship's bridge, and most of all, for taking the time to make us feel so special on such a special occasion. We sincerely hope to cruise with you again very soon. This Celebrity experience exceeded all of our high expectations and we would recommend it to anyone. We have been converted to "cruisers" by Celebrity, its ship and staff and are already planning our next cruise vacation. Thanks again and we'll see you soon!Dade & Rebecca SokoloffMiami, Florida

Good cruise - not great but good! by alancairns35

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation

At the end on the cruise we decided that the Retreat option wasn’t worth the extra money. The benefits were the Retreat Lounge and Luminae. There is a free bar in The retreat lounge from 5 to 7 but if you are in a drinks package you are not gaining anything. We enjoyed the cruise and the service on board but as seen elsewhere in this review the ship is old and has its limitations.

Fantastic Croatian Cruise by traveldoc2013

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

An amazing itinerary and several stops we have never been to. Bologna is a great airport to fly into and stay before any Ravenna departures as it is only ~45-60minutes from the port. Loved Constellation.
