Review summary

An amazing itinerary and several stops we have never been to. Bologna is a great airport to fly into and stay before any Ravenna departures as it is only ~45-60minutes from the port. Loved Constellation.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We travelled in a group. The boarding process in Ravenna was so slick and quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I could not complain about the quality of the food nor drinks.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I used the spa, gym and pool deck - all clean, staff friendly and the gym classes were great!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
A brilliant and talented group, led by Sue. Evening entertainment around the ship was plentiful and impressive.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly and attentive. No complaints.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We stayed in an Aqua class cabin on deck 11. This is an older ship so it was a little smaller and old fashioned in decor compared to our last Aqua, however, clean and plentiful storage space.

Ship tip

Enjoy evening drinks at the Sunset Bar at the back of the buffet. Great views and sometimes there is live music.

Ports of call

Trieste, Italy

Beautiful city. Very flat and walkable, with the centre very close to the cruise port.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Overnight stay in port fantastic. We hired a private boat to tour some of the islands and swam in small bays. Amazing experience and highly recommended - http://www.dubrovnikdailysailing.com/

Kotor, Montenegro

It rained so our tour got cancelled. We had a wet walkabout the walled town but it was grey and dull. Need to visit again!

Split, Croatia

Another beautiful stop. I regret not booking an excursion but it was beautiful to walk around.

Ravenna, Italy

5 out of 5
We drove through as we had stayed in Bologna. A small functional town with not much to see.

Salerno (Amalfi Coast), Italy

Highly recommended private yacht sail around the islands. Another great find for a self guided (and skippered) tour. We hired one of these boats and drove along the coast alongside Amalfi and Positano. This company are located right alongside the new Salerno cruise port.
