Review summary

Overall the cruise was a solid 7/10. Not at par with some other cruises I have been on but it was ok overall. Not sure if this is reflective of the 'Celebrity experience' as this was our only cruise ever with them. I didn't see a great difference.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room experience was average from a food quality experience. Not as good as prior cruises on Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. A disappointment. In contrast, the buffet was very good with plenty of selection, freshness and quality. Probably one of the better cruise buffets - for a consistent quality. Le Petit Chef was just ok, not work the $$$ paid despite the show.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Perhaps due to being a medium size ship, there are basic activities.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Singing and dance shows were repetitive over the course of the cruise. The comedian was ok and the magician very entertaining.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Prior reviews complained about poor state of ship. Our room was fine as were the general areas of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Overall, cabin design was efficient and clean. Was as expected. The cabin staff were excellent, attentive and responsive.

Ship tip

Mobile Tip. We used a Europe eSIM for duration of trip. The cost was about 1 day of the ship premium wifi and it worked at all ports of call plus periodically in the At Sea days. Unless you need 100% connectivity, this is a big savings to have internet at sea and on port.

Ports of call

Ravenna, Italy

This was the 'Venice' port of call. Shameful the marketing says this is Venice - a 3 hr bus ride away that is also extra expense.

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

A pile of stones and rock

Santorini, Greece

3 out of 5
A bit overhyped - especially Oia. While pretty, the amount of people was a lot.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

Mykonos, Greece

Souda (Chania), Crete

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

crazy port arrival (6am) and early depart (4pm) were a major disappointment that lead to general dis-satisfaction from passengers I met
