Tired ship, poor food and service. Declining reputation for a Celebrity Cruise.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Not sure why Celebrity asks everyone to register online, do your own photos and health check, only to have to repeat the same process at the port. Felt like busy work!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Food selection is extremely limited! There was a time that limited sushi would appear on the buffet a time or two. Nothing special.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Fitness center was ok, but other items such as arts and crafts or napkin folding were either non-existent or self lead.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Performers were all very talented and pretty much the highlight of the cruise.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Section 1: Cabin Stewards, concierge and dining wait staff were good. Cabin Steward was better than good, attentive and even made towel animals on request. Casino staff even made losing fun, very personable and engaging.
Section 2 Bar Staff: terrible! My wife and I felt invisible from time to time. Finally would get them to take an order that may or may not show up. Orders were rarely taken at the pool.
Shopping Staff: EFFY listed several events and giveaways in daily schedule that did not take place.
Captains Club events were not communicated to me by invitation. Missed several events.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
Very old and tired ship! Covid stopped a desperately needed refurb.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Extended balcony was nice. Just needs refurbished.
Ship tip
Lower your expectations from normal Celebrity service and quality.
Positives on Connie --
Rooms still turned over twice a day.
Continental breakfast still no charge.
No wait for show or reservations.
MDR service still to notch.
No one nickel and dimeing you all sailing long.
No loud music.
Filled ice buckets in room everyday.
Somebody has a bone to pick I guess. All it takes is one customer service blow off and here comes the negative review. We did this ship TWICE in three months. 21 days and hardly a gripe. We are sad to see ship leave for summer, can't wait for Connie to return in November.
