Review summary

Excellent cruise; ship is well organized and maintained; exceptional staff top to bottom, with wonderful customer service. Great on board amenities and activities for wide age range. Excellent ports; great excursions. Areas of improvement: need more charging stations in cabins, lounges; need faster and cheaper WiFi; need better assistance with non-excursion visits to ports from excursion desk or guest relations

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Flawless, clean, efficient, much faster than expected

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room and buffets: fantastic; room service for breakfast was excellent and the only way to get coffee without leaving your room; didnt choose specialty restaurants;

Champagne Bar / Martini Bar

5 out of 5

Loved the bartenders! Bery entertaining! Drinks were excellent

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Solarium

5 out of 5

Loved it! Very quiet and comfortable

Guest Relations And Excursions

3 out of 5

Lacked information on non excursion activity; only seemed interested if it was related to an excursion, specifically regarding Corfu, Greece and Venice

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Only attended a few, again, due to fatigue from all day sight seeing at each port, but i thoroughly enjoyed; bingo, trivia games, karoke, music trivia, and liar’s game (?)

Library

4 out of 5

Limited selection of books

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff, from housekeeping to captain, were exceptional!! Always professional, polite, friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent layout design and well maintained. Would suggest more outlets in cabins and common areas if possible

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room 2161; excellent! Comfortable beds, very clean, bigger than expected; was a leak on floor near window that was promptly addressed. Received a generous credit for future cruise which was unexpected but appreciated (its a ship on water; leaks are expected in my book)

Ship tip

Bring magnetic hooks or clips to hang jewlerly, itinerarys on metal walls; bring over the door shoe hanging bags with multiple pockets for shoes, toiletries; bring power strip; bring portable phone charger because few outlets in public areas and cabins

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Did the 10hr excursion to St Peters Square, Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Vatican museums, with outside tour of Colisseum and Roman Forum; Excellent excursion, very tiring due to amount of activities in a short time. Got closer to Colisseum and roman forum than i expected. Its hard to appreciate sistine chapel , st peters basilica & vatican museums on a one day trip like this. Its a taste but not no time to really view the art work. The guides, Gloria and Mohammed, were exceptional; very professional, knowledgeable and helpful; they have alot of energy and responsibility for such a large tourist group (45).

Did the Taormina Blue Grotto excursion; excellent! Our guide GiGi was wonderful; very friendly and knowledgable; plenty of shopping time in Taormina; loved the complimentary food at cafe; loved the boat trip to blue grotto; great captain; able to swim off boat; generous drinks and snacks; able to leave shopping bags from taormina on bus while on boat.

Corfu, Greece

I loved the port and town; i didnt chose an excursion; i was disappointed in the lack of help from cruise staff regarding touring port without excursion. I attended the meeting the night before and read the cruise ship newsletters regarding the port; however the info was conflicting. Was told the cruise ship shuttle only transported us from dock to hop on off bus starting point when actually the cruise shuttle was going throughout Old towne. Another cruiser happened to see the shuttle while we were waiting for hop on/off bus so we rode the shuttle back to ship. It seemed like the cruise ship was only helpful IF you chose an excursion, which disappointed me. I chose an excursion for 7 of the 9 ports we visited. I expect the cruise ship staff to be more helpful regarding each port regardless of whether you chose an excursion

Loved if! So beautiful! Chose the speed boat blue cave excursion.great excursion; Gi-Gi was fantastic; loved that we had time after excursion to visit old towne and shop on our own before returning to ship. Only complaint: large amount of pushy vendors swarmed us as we walked from ship to excursion departure area. We already chose an excursion; this should have neen managed better.

Zadar, Croatia

Beautiful! Chose the day at the beach; great, relaxing excursion at end of long cruise. Loved that it was “one stop shopping”, meaning that everything was in close proximity; it was at a private yacht club so beach chairs, bathroom, reataurant and bar were in one place. It was like staying on the cruise ship but with a beach and authentic local food. Some would say its a waste of money; could stay on the ship for all that but it was a nice break.

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
Loved it; didnt choose an excursion; only stayed one night. While i loved Venice, i was disappointed in the lack of non-excursion info from the cruise ship staff. Also i wish the cruise ship provided more info regarding transportation options upon leaving the ship, especially due to unique structure of venice. It was very confusing which transportation method to choose: warer bus, water taxi, hop on/off, land bus, land taxi; meeting the morning before was over crowded and unhelpful, again, only helpful if you chose an excursion. We were told the monorail was a short walk from cruise ship; it was 3/4 of a mile WITH all of our luggage. It was very difficult to walk with the luggage to monorail. Obve we arrived at the hotel it was much better. Loved Venice; did hop on off water boat and water bus; rode a gondola ( very expensive, $80 euro for 39 minutes but very beautiful);

Disembarkation
