Review summary

This was a rather reasonably priced cruise but its ports of call were great (except it canceled the Istanbul stop which required me to fly there independently). Some of the sidetrips were good - some not worth the money.  The food was good and the people onboard were great.  We hated asking for a drink of water and expecting  a glass of water and getting charged $8 for bottles so we then watched our purchases much more closely, which probably cost the be oat a lot more than they made on our water.  Sometimes small things make you draw a line in the sand.  The entertainment was so so with the exception of a young couple who played Irish music in a bar and the aerial people.

Would have loved more historical lectures to prepare us for ports. Art auction was teeny. Not many things available for at sea days that didn't nickel and dime you.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

My daughter took the 'all you could fit in in Rome' tour and it was that. Disappointed that they still had to stand in lines that wasted time. I took the bus trip to the countryside which was a total waste of money. We went to a village that was closed and then a farm where we sampled food but were told nothing about the process or anything.
