Review summary
We did the 5-night Western Caribbean cruise over Easter week. I traveled with my 10-year old daughter, who enjoyed the Fun Factory very much. I noticed some definite deficiencies when compared to a December 2015 cruise on sister ship the Summit. Food quality seems to have fallen, especially in the Ocean view Cafe, where we food breakfast and lunch to be boring and lacking any creativity. Dinner in Ocean Liners was very good, but the price was staggering. The Tuscan Grille was a huge disappointment for the price. The food quality was not that good. The staff, while pleasant and helpful, did not give off the aura of happiness that we experienced on the Summit. The Summit captain, Captain Kate, seemed to set a high standard for friendliness that we did not experience on the Constellation. The ship seems somewhat tired and in need of freshening. The decor is bland. We generally are fans of Celebrity, so maybe it was just an old ship on its last Caribbean cruise before heading to Europe and the Middle East that made the experience less than we expected.
