Review summary

Few complaints as staff, entertainment and meals were very good. Problem was a way too heavy schedule of ports, which could best be described as a "sampler." Stockholm should have been at least a 2 day stopover as should have been Berlin(Warnamunde). We're experienced travelers and what we all look for are major periods for relaxation on board and not burying us. Yes, we made the decision, but in the gray headed group, it was too much.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Some corner cutting on dinners in Marco Polo. Beef and lamb were outstanding, but seafood was lacking. Couldn't properly cook tuna and offered modest halibut serving on one night only.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Sad that no big names left too many empty seats on the Celebrity Theater. It was varied and top quality especially the guitarist and the production numbers.

Ship Quality

Very clean and well maintained for a 10 yr. ship. Well laid out and easy to find places. Excellent emporium, with some honest to goodness sales and bargains.

Ports of call

Riga, Latvia

war museums interesting and informative. Important to first hand learn the infamy of the Russians and the Germans.

Stockholm, Sweden

The people make this beautiful city. A must for longer than a day.

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

Everything it's cracked up to be, extending far beyond just the Hermitage. People unfriendly and cold. Choices of food were okay, if you shopped or knew your guide. We had a private tour and did well.
Don't Miss: Catherine's Palace in Pushkin

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

5 out of 5
A long ride to Berlin, but worth of 2 days

Klaipeda, Lithuania

You must be kidding. No way to end a trip.

Tallinn, Estonia

3 out of 5

Pros: Saw a lot of Europe had never seen before

Cons: One stretch of 7 days in ports in 6 different cities too much.
