Review summary

Our family of 6 had a great time. We all would like to do a future cruise (in a few years, probably). Celebrity needs to rethink the Wifi cost. It was very off-putting. I would love to see more diverse activities (some of us don't want to gamble or drink or do sports), but if you just want to relax, a cruise is a great choice.

Embarkation

So easy and smooth. No waiting

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed it. Was it amazing--no. In the main dining rooms, food temperature was an issue. Hot food was often lukewarm. Cold food was often lukewarm. The one truly amazing aspect was the bread. It was some of the best bread we've ever had. Buffet selection was outstanding. Specialty restaurants--one of us went to one of the restaurants and it was enjoyable. Service in any location of the ship was incredible.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were not a lot of activities that were of interest to me. I really wasn't looking for that though--just wanted to relax and was able to do that. Cannot believe how expensive Wifi was. I get it that they have to charge for it, but the price was ridiculous. This was a big turn off for us.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Really enjoyed the shows.

Children's Programs

My daughter went to the Teen club and enjoyed it. Didn't rave about it, but she wanted to go every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Really couldn't be better. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was pristine. Bedrooms used duvet covers so they could be washed often, but there was still a slightly stale smell on the bed.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
If we hadn't had the extended balcony, three of us would have been very uncomfortable in this cabin. We were able to stow our empty suitcases out there. Three people per cabin is just tight. Recommend only two per cabin.

Ship tip

Unless you are hooked on soda or specialty drinks, skip the drink packages. The Zero Proof package was our single biggest expense on board and we could have been just fine without it.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Easy to maneuver.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We just used the free beach chairs/umbrellas. The beach itself was very small, but it was lovely. We didn't do an excursion due to the cost, which was extremely prohibitive for our group of 6. Food selection (included) was amazing. We loved our day at Coco Cay.

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
We found a licensed tour company (not part of the offered excursions with Celebrity--again, too expensive) that accommodated us. A brief tour ended at the famous 7 Mile Beach and we had an our to swim and enjoy the beautiful water. The big issue was getting off the ship on the tenders. While Celebrity was very organized with this, it took a long time to get off the boat. For future cruises, I would select something that didn't require using tenders to get to shore.

Bimini, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Did our own thing again. Ended up on the most gorgeous beach, almost deserted and had the best experience of the whole cruise. Bimini itself is kind of scary (very run down), but the beach is bar none, the most lovely place.

Disembarkation

Celebrity makes this pretty painless. Unless you are young and strong, highly recommend having them take the luggage the night before so you don't have to get it off the ship yourself.
