Review summary

Not impressed with the edge series line. Missed the frozen martini bar. Service at the bars/coffee shop /mast grill were the worst I’ve ever had. Sad when you can’t wait to get off a ship/vacation.

Allot of the same activities just different songs-heard over the rainbow song 6 times within 2 days. Most of the music was depressing slow songs…cone on were in a cruise raise the bar to upbeat songs.

HORRIBLE service and the best part the following week cruise was the president cruise would have thought they be spot on but NOT the case worse cruise I’ve been on and I’m an Elite member.

Wasted space, hot elevators, dirty dishes left outside cabins 24 hrs plus, cheap fixtures.

Not really a veranda room as the A/C shuts off when you lower the window so with it being summer time everything even in the bathroom was wet. Bed was ok, decor was nice and our cabin steward was really sweet .

We had our first cruise just a week ago, and our experience was quite different from yours. While I don't expect absolute perfection, I found our trip to be nearly flawless, especially considering it was our first time with our 7 and 10-year-old boys. We chose a smaller ship to avoid the overwhelming nature of larger ones, and it turned out to be the perfect decision for us. Perhaps cruising might not be the ideal fit for everyone, or maybe exploring ultra-luxury options like Silversea could offer a better experience for your preferences. I hope you find a cruising experience that matches your expectations in the future.

Cruzn2gether, completely understand not wanting to cancel or re-book because of family commitments. Been there done that. Hopefully it was the stress of the next cruise that threw the service and vibe off. Fingers crossed the next makes up for the last 😎

Hi Margierita, The cruise in November is with extended family, so we will be back on. I never said that my cruise was terrible. I just shared similar sentiments with Opuslover who had written the review and was on the same cruise and same status as myself. There were many aspects of the cruise that I enjoyed and mentioned in my comment, such as the theatre shows and a few exceptional crew members who will be mentioned in my post cruise review. Ports were excellent, embark and debark for me went smoothly but I arrived at my 12:00 window and did self-disembark. Beyond is a beautiful ship and I found it to be immaculate in terms of cleanliness, but there were issues with the crew for sure and their service and the poolside music/ entertainment was subpar to what I’ve experienced on older Celebrity ships. For their Crown and Jewel in the fleet, I went in expecting better. I do think there was a lot of additional stress on the ship and department heads with the anticipation of the President’s cruise. I guess I will find out in November. I will go in optimistic and excited to show my extended family an Edge class as they have not been. Happy cruising!

Shh813, it was a ? for someone else who said they were on the same cruise and had a terrible time. I really am curious if they’re still going b/c if I had that bad of a time I would try to change to another ship. We were on Beyond last year and loved it from tip to tail 😊

Maybe cruising isn't for you, since all you posted was negative comments. I was on the Beyond not long ago and had an amazing time with amazing food. Everything you posted was such an exaggeration of the truth to the point of nonsense. I can't imagine being on a cruise with someone spending their whole time whining about everything.

I was on the same sailing and agree! The crew in Eden were not on par with what we are used to. Service was painfully slow and we were charged for our drinks during Elite cocktail hour more than once and had to go to guest relations to resolve the issue. We also were stunned when we saw that our room attendant charge us 116.84 for a mini bar we never used! I agree that the music selection by the pool was poor. The only time it was upbeat was when it was the daily fitness by the pool with Alexa and that was extremely loud!! We were lucky to have fantastic service in Normandie with our nightly wait staff and one bartender at the Martini Bar. I’m glad we were not the only Elite members who felt the same way. The show Arte was fantastic, as was Will Martin. I wonder if it was because of the pressure leading up to the President’s cruise. Either way, as loyal paying customers, we shouldn’t be shortchanged.
