Review summary

We have cruised on all the mainstream cruise lines and Celebrity is our favorite. Design and layout, food and entertainment are all first rate.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation has never gone this smoothly and quickly on any of my previous 10+ cruises!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
99% wonderful. We at at all the main dining rooms and two of the specialty restaurants . . . but we at most of our breakfasts and evening meals in Blu as we were Aqua class. For lunch, we loved the Eden cafe and the Spa cafe.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did not participate in all of the activities, but we enjoyed the ones we did.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to all of the shows except for the magician and we loved them all. I particularly loved the Elton John and Billy Joel piano concerts. But really, they were all good and higher quality than other cruise ships.

Children's Programs

We did not bring children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The ones we interacted with were all good, especially our room steward. I just felt that this time, there weren't quite as many waiters or other ship's personnel as on past cruises (before COVID).

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything about Celebrity Beyond was wonderful. We have been on the Edge and this was one cut above that (eg larger Sunset bar and larger space around the Rooftop Garden.). The only problem we had was that our infinite balcony room made loud creaky noises for a few days when there were moderate seas and it kept us from sleeping. We asked for the maintenance people to look at it and it did seem to get a little better. We were thrilled when we were given cruise credit for a future cruise because of it. I hope they figure out this problem out because other than that, we loved everything about it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was all good and our room steward was eager to assist us. Our stateroom was super clean and all the furnishings and fixtures were modern. I loved the cutting edge bathroom which was nicer than other cruises we've taken in the past.

Ship tip

We love the infinite balcony as it makes the room appear bigger. But I do know that some people prefer the standard balconies so they can sit outside in the sun. I would research both options before booking a cruise on Beyond or Edge.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Again, disembarkation was as fast as embarkation. I have never disembarked this quickly before. Once out of the terminal, there were taxis waiting and I did not have to wait at all. My friend took a shuttle to the airport and she said that was slower process.
