Loved the opportunity to visit Iceland and return to visit Scotland and Ireland. This was an awesome cruise. I met lots of interesting people and saw lots of interesting sites. I think this is a good cruise for adults - not as much for the children as there was only one venue on the ship for them.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Well organized embarkation in Amsterdam. Cruise port facility could have better signage but Celebrity staff were excellent.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
This was my first Celebrity cruise. I had purchased the Premium drink package so I could have whatever option I wanted. No doubt, that saved me a bunch of $$$. I tried all of the Main Dining rooms. Each would have a few selections that were specific to that venue. Otherwise, the main menu was available in all of them. I ended up choosing Normandie overall for the wait staff and the food choices. I have a Gluten allergy so my food was prepared in a separate area of the kitchen unlike the other meals which were prepared in the specific dining room's area. If you take a galley tour, you will see what I mean. I am not usually a buffet person but I must admit that it was well done on this ship. There were always many options to choose from and it was never as crowded as my experience on other ships. The smaller ship experience is much better where the buffet is concerned.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I participated in some of the onboard activities. The fit and fun dancing was a good time and a good workout. I used the treadmill in the fitness center several times trying to work off some of the good food and drink :) I got a massage in the spa which was very nice, despite being very expensive.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Only saw 2 shows on the 12-night ship as I am not a late night person to begin with and many of the short excursions start early. The two I did see were excellent. This ship as a stage area that did not appear large enough to support a major show, like a Broadway type show, but the performers that they had were very good.
Children's Programs
No children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff on the ship were terrific, from my room steward to the waiters to the maintenance staff to the customer service folks.
Ship Quality

The first room I was in had an adjoining door to the room next to it. There was a family in that room and the children were quite loud. I determined that I would not complain unless this continued past a normal bedtime hour in the evening. Well, it did. I went to customer service and was told that they did not have another room to move me to. They would ask the neighbors to keep their children quiet. Not sure that was going to work well but nothing to do about it so I just did my best to get some sleep. However, the very next day they called to say that they had another room to move me to. So, I packed up and moved. Both rooms had what is called a virtual balcony. What that meant was that instead of an open air balcony with sliding glass doors (what you normally see on a cruise ship), the bump out is enclosed. The top half of the glass wall retracts down which opens the space up. I am not sure I would like this in a warm climate where I enjoy sitting on the balcony, but on this cruise to a cold climate, it was wonderful. My only wish was that they could figure out how to keep the window from getting spotted when they rinsed off the sea water. It made it impossible to take pictures without putting the window down. Since putting the window down was not a quick operation, sometimes I would miss the picture I wanted to take.
Cabin / Stateroom

King bed, lovely linens which were very comfortable. Large bathroom with a spacious shower. Quite a few drawers and closet areas for clothing and other items. Chairs and table on the balcony could have been nicer especially as they are not subject to the elements the way the balcony is not exposed. Bath essentials were well equipped.
Disembarkation in Rotterdam was well organized on the ship. Once off the ship, it felt less organized. The line to the bus to go to the Amsterdam Airport was long and it did not appear to be as well organized.
