Apex is worth the money! Shawna the Apex cruise director is absolutely fantastic and a Canadian!! The ship was rocking (15 foot swells) but still a great cruise. If you get sick go down to guest services for a magic pill (gravol).
Embarkation

We arrived at the port at our scheduled time (11am) and we were on the ship in 5 minutes! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Make sure to do your check-in before arriving at port.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Apex food and drinks were excellent! We ate in the 4 Main Dinning rooms and they were all good. I had two lobster tails on lobster night! Buffet had so many choices. Our favourite day drink was frozen mojitos.
Btw we took the classic drink package and it was more then enough. Had all the drinks options (premium package was not worth the upgraded fee of $150/person in our opinion). Cheers!
Onboard Activities

I did water aerobics but we mostly just relaxed. One of the reason we picked this ship is because it is more relaxing and less boom boom at the pool.
Entertainment

The Tree of life is hands down the best show I’ve ever seen on a cruise. The theatre is so amazing on the Apex with the wrap around screen. It’s wonderful
Service and Staff

Service all over the ship was really great. Julia the pool bar, magic carpet and martini bar waitress was the best! Extremely friendly and attentive. The reason I did not rate the service a 5 star is because our room steward was nowhere to be found all week (we think maybe he got Covid)/ someone was cleaning our room but we never saw them.
Ship Quality

Ship is beautiful.
All venues were really nice.
Solarium chairs are extra comfy.
The gangway on the Apex is great and convenient.
** important to note that room 7315 (aft - Sunset Veranda) is just on top of the Eden and we heard the bass almost every night. We had read reviews about our room that said it was quiet but that was not the case (I assume that the people writing those reviews were in Eden dancing until 1am every night lol) **
Cabin / Stateroom

Sunset veranda is a must if you like the original balconies. Our friends had an infinite veranda but I felt it was just not the same. We like the feeling of being outside.
Ship tip
Take the stairs! We tried to avoid the elevators all week. By taking the stairs every day, I found cruise ducks!! Don’t forget cafe al bacio!!! Omg so good.
