Celebrity Apex

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)

Sail date: December 03, 2022

Ship: Celebrity Apex

Cabin type: Suite

Cabin number: 10105

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Review summary

The Celebrity Apex is a wonderful ship. The only problem is that Celebrity has more than doubled their prices. We booked a Sky Suite about 18 months ago for $5,300, and the same cabin now costs $11,506 (even with their alleged “sale price “).

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters were excellent as was our room steward. Our butler was also very good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Apex is extremely well designed especially for suite guests. The martini bar was the only disappointment.

Ship tip

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Got there too late in the day and the side trips were lame.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

We went to a beautiful beach (Cane Garden Bay). The drive there was very scenic as we went over a small mountain to get to the other side of the island.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We took a catamaran to Nevis Island which was very nice. The crew was excellent and the beer and rum punch were very good. The barbecue lunch on Nevis Island was good especially the barbecued chicken and the coconut coleslaw. The beach was not very good and there were lots of rocks in the water. No chairs or umbrellas available (although the pamphlet said they would)

Best ever! Went to the Retreat Lounge at 7:30am and had coffee and a sweet roll. Then at 7:45am the concierge took us down the elevator and we walked directly off the ship to the baggage area. Went to the customs line and they used facial recognition and didn’t have to show our passports or talk with anyone. We were curbside by 8:05am!
